Great food with a good interior design and complemented with efficient and polite service.
Reviews / Ratings for Pho Anh Vu
My favorite pho in Montreal. I always get the grilled chicken pho: broth and noodles with a separate plate of grilled chicken. The chili and onion jars on the table take the flavors to the next level.
Very cute decor and the Pho was amazing 😍
Ordered Com Tam (broken rice) and was served regular rice. Broth for beef pho was a little on the salty side and the broth for the chicken pho was actually beef based and incredebly fatty it was nasty.
I visit Montreal quite often from Toronto and this is my mom's favorite Vietnamese restaurant. I was glad to find that the quality control is there and the quality of the food is comparable to Toronto locations. The pho soup is flavorful and the service is quick. My only feedback is that I wish my pho tai had actually tai beef (rare). The beef was already mostly cooked by the time the soup arrived to our table. But overall, I still enjoyed my pho!
This is out second experience here at Pho Anh Vu and we definatly recommend this establishment almost at the corners of Atwater & Saint Catherine st. Atmosphere is a plus, meal experience is fullfiling and very tasty, tonight is Friday and its only 1800 and there lined up at the door 10 deep waitting for a vacancy! Luckily we arrived at 1745 and there was no wait but limited table availability. We came here in January on a Sunday afternoon and it was 45 minute wait! Enjoy your experience!
Love this place! The Vietnamese people of year are so nice and friendly. They make authentic food which is so tasty and yummy.
I finally tried Pho Anh Vu and honestly, it lives up to the hype. The place itself is really nice, love the space, love the decor. Service was A1 the whole time, super friendly and on point without being too much. The pho was actually really good, and the portions are huge, so you’re definitely not leaving hungry. It is a bit on the pricier side, which is worth mentioning, but overall the experience was really solid. I had a great time and would definitely go back.
One of the best pho in Montreal . Food was amazing , and service was also great.
One of the most spacious Vietnamese restaurants in the city...although a chain, it is the only one in Quebec I believe. The portions are larger than average but extremely tasty. Absolutely love the variety of sauces and pickled spicy additions on the table. Just wish they had more of that beef rib pho, often sold out early!
Their pho is amazing and surprisingly their grilled chicken is very juicy. We have been regular customers as of discovering it last year and every grocery visit ends up at Anh Vu to start a broth-fueled week:)
Good food, more expensive than other Vietnamese restaurants probably because of the downtown rent. Service was minimal to none. Only the girl server walks around the room looking for things to do. I had to raise my hand all the time for attention and often it's an adult coming out of the kitchen who notices me. The grilled meat with noodles dish is served on a paper covered tray. Although stylish and rural tradition, it is not fun to eat on. Other restaurants always give you plates. I would prefer to go to Ho Guom although service there is equally terrible.
Food was amazing, all my family like it👌👌👌
I had the Pho Spécial Aux Côtes De Boeuf / Beef Rib Noodle Soup and it wad sooo goood. I took the large. They have different size, so when you go, pick one that's perfect for you.
Best pho. Noodle is fresh, beef is flavorful and tender, and soup is wonderful. The grilled chicken is great. I love the variety of drinks as well.
They always mess up customers’ orders. They always mess up customers’ orders. They always mess up customers’ orders.
Tuesday April 07,2026 I placed an order for item #15 and a large #4 for takeout by phone at 7:51 PM. I arrived at the restaurant to pick it up around 8:10 PM. I paid $38 but didn’t receive a receipt. However, when I got home, what I received was a small #4 with spring rolls. What should I do about this order?
The atmosphere was lovely. I enjoyed the food more than the durian smoothie (strong condense milk flavor instead of durian favor) Overall, satisfying meal we had
Very beautiful decor, shrimp nicely grilled. Delicious bun bo hue special.
Great Vietnamese food, massive portions
Such a gem! First time here. Ordered the mango salad, imperial roles and special tonkenise soup- all delicious. Sweet service too.
The beef soup was nice, big portions. Broth tastes good, will come back to try rice dishes
The special Tonkinoise soup was delicious and a big portion. The Imperial rolls were crispy and perfect.
I did not spend 26 dollars for cold soup
Delicious, and can make most of their dishes gluten free.
