Hi Taylor, We’re sorry that your chips were overcooked during your visit, and we apologize for that. Our chips are thick, hand-cut and prepared in the traditional English style, which is quite different from traditional french fries. We would also like to clarify that the American gentleman mentioned in your Tripadvisor review is a member of our team, not the owner or chef. Was expecting chippy chips, but the chips were more like breakfast style potato wedges which I found a bit unconventional for an allegedly traditional chip shop.

Our chef-owner is originally from England and has brought his recipes and traditions from the UK to Québec. While styles can vary from one chip shop to another, thick-cut chips are commonly found in traditional fish & chip shops throughout England. If you live nearby, I'd probably just get my meal to go. The fish and chips is great, but the ambiance and service are pretty mediocre. It was a bit too underwhelming and kinda ruined it for me personally. It’s a shame because the food really is worth it. They could do a lot more with the place!!

Best fish and chips I’ve had in Canada and the closest to a proper British one I’ve found! Even got the mushy peas and a proper curry sauce. The cherry on top is the fact they have malt vinegar available too 🤣 something sorely missing in most Canadian fish and chips places. My only concern is the shape of the chips, they’re made in a more English style but they’re shaped more like the breakfast style potatoes they have here in Quebec, not a bad thing but sort of broke the immersion of having a “real” fish and chips!

Visited for a meal whilst on vacation in Quebec City. Wanted to find fish and chips reminiscent of the east coast of Atlantic Canada and this was close. Originally thought it was more of a take-away location but is very clean with dine-in eating and guests being served water whilst waiting. I originally thought the 2 options for haddock on the menu meant 1pc vs 2pc but it is actually just the size of a single piece of fish. I opted to take-away and I'm almost glad I did because, I got my food, drove about 15 minutes, got up to my hotel, then got ready to eat and it was still almost too hot to eat 😅. After taxes $26.44 is a lot for a meal most places but it's in line with what restaurants are charging in the city and this location has free parking and ease of access. Would visit during another trip. (Menu prices as of June 2026)

The Fish and chips was delicious, but it was a bit too oily, especially the batter. The waitress was friendly and we received amazing service despite the restaurant’s odd vibe.

Great place for a summer family dinner. The portions of fish were quite large and worth the price. The food was served quickly and the staff was super kind and attentive. Nice outdoor seating area.

Stopped by on Friday night, last minute decision, food was very good, staff was friendly and attentive, cost was decent. We had haddock and chips and fish cakes and salad, very good filling meal

Best “fish & chips” In Québec City! The thick square fries, the English style batter on the fish of your choice (Haddock, Cod or Hake) and the special tartare sauce… So good, I could swear I’m back in London England! I also tried their poutine creation (Fries, fried fish nuggets, curry sauce, cheese curds, coriander & special home made tartare sauce) Staff is really nice, polite & efficient. They have a small outdoor seating in the summer months. They also do Takeout. Highly recommend! GOOD JOB 👏🏻

By far our favourite place to eat around here. The fish is fried to perfection, their chips are crisp and tasty, and what unique sauce for the poutine (we ask for the sauce in the side as it can get a bit overwhelming). The only complaint is that they're not open on Sun, Mon and Tues!
