The BEST Bakery in Montreal! The dairy-free treats are AMAZING! Love the fancy desserts, the warm chocolate chip cooks and the savoury breads. Everything is delicious, great vibes in the cafe and wonderful staff and owner. I order cakes from here for all my parties and I’m always impressed with how delicious and decadent they are. 100% recommend this place to everyone.

We've been going to Zébulon since 2020. We have been getting birthday cakes for my entire family throughout the last 5-6 years. We were getting at least 8-10 cakes from him a year until September 2025. Zébulon was always very accommodating to our special requests and was super kind whenever we would go there. The issue came with the cake itself that we ordered in September 2025. The cake had a hair deeply embedded in the cake. It was only after distributing the cake to multiple people at the birthday that we saw a thick, coarse hair baked into the cake. It looked like a beard hair. It was evidently a hair. We contacted Zébulon and told him about the hair. He, sadly, dismissed the fact that it was a hair and said it was likely a bristle from his brush. We were confused why a brush would be used inside the cake batter itself. He made a comment about being surprised that we threw the cake out after seeing the hair. I think it only makes sense to throw it out -especially if it's a brush because it can be harmful to people in vulnerable health situations. Eventually, a credit was offered to us, but we just could not gather the courage to try another cake and risk having hair in it. However, seeing that we trusted Zébulon in the past and that it was only once in all these years, we ordered a cake and picked it up 2 days ago. We were very scared, but we had our backups ready so we thought let's give it a try. Unfortunately, the new GF, vanilla almond cake with chocolate frosting tasted like toothpaste, windex, chemicals, and dish soap. We've had the exact same cake in July 2025 and it was really good. I'm not sure what happened. We could not eat it and this is really bad. I myself bake vegan, GF cakes as a hobby and I've never managed to create a GF cake that tastes like windex or detergent. I guess I need to learn how to make an edible chemical cake from Zébulon (I thought I would dabble into Zébulon's snarky style of making remarks on critical reviews because I'm not going to get cyberbullied by a pastry chef who is unable to respond with poise and professionalism to customers with critical, honest reviews). In all seriousness, I would appreciate if the person who bought the cake was given a full refund back onto their original method of payment in September 2025 after these two negative experiences. Hopefully, we can get a kind, quality customer service response, but in the event we don't, I wouldn't be surprised. In the kindest way possible: Why have a bakery if constructive feedback isn't taken positively? And why read through negative comments and leave responses that make you look like a sore loser? I'm not one to leave reviews like this, but it only makes sense to warn others. It's also pretty sad when you read Zébulon's rude responses to customers because it makes him look bad.

What a treat! Love the vibe, music, pastries and drinks. Has beautiful large windows with natural lighting, spacious and a warm vibe you can unwind in. The staff are friendly and kind, and took care in explaining their pastries. Went two days in a row, 10/10! Y’all are doing great. Thank you :)
