Delicious food, quick service, and a reasonably sized outdoor patio. Definitely need to come back and try the rest of the pasta options, as this order was mostly non-pasta dishes. On the menu: • Salade de Fenouil et Olives • Baccalà Mantecato (Creamed Cod) • Piatto di Antipasti Misto (Mixed Appetizer Platter) • Ravioli di Ricotta e Spinaci (Ricotta and Spinach Ravioli) • Poutine Pooks Italienne • Lemon Pookie Cheesesteak Instagram: @pasta.pooks

Delicious fresh pasta ! Servings to me could have a little more for $28 a plate and charging for bread to me a no no ! Lesley C a Mtl retired food critic for restaurants said what’s with charging for things like that . A freebie goes a long way , and c’mon possible ! Maybe dress up the plates more , maybe then the plates will then look less skimpy . Loved the dishes , that being said !!
Home made pasta that melts in your mouth. Highly recommend.
Incredible everything. The pasta was delicious, service was lovely and there is a very nice wine list to pair the pasta with
If you think this place is overhyped, you are wrong! Holy smokes. The flavors, the texture of the pastas….food heaven. The service is so nice and friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed. But what you won’t forget are all the perfect bites. Thank you for an incredible dinner!
Amazing food and perfect wine recommendation from Martin!!
Amazing quality of pasta. I have been to many pasta place in north america, but this small place surprisingly beats them all. The pastas are handmade. The menu changes a lot. Dont skip this place if you are visiting Montreal and like pasta.
Worth the hype! Some of the freshest pasta out there and fillings are fun and flavourful. The braised beef cheek with caramelized onion pasta was unreal!
Best pasta place ever. You truly get what you pay for. We tried 3 out of the 4 pasta dishes on the menu, and every single one was amazing. Highly recommended!
Great food, Nice serve. Only a few seats available
Great food, service too. A bit too cramped for the space (the dining area, not the counter). Would go back in the summer on the terrasse anytime!
One of the best venues to eat in Montreal. The food and the people are simply the best, making it a place that feels good to visit ❤️
HANDS DOWN ! Best pasta in town . Fight me !
Amazing restaurant, with an amazing owner. Everyone there is very kind. The food is amazing. You can tell it’s made with love. Some of the best homemade pasta in the city. I recommend getting a reservation because the walk ins are very limited.
Incredible fresh pasta dishes! Everything on the menu was fantastic
Best pasta in Montreal.
Best pasta I ever tried in Montreal, shoutout Coach & Luca!!
A little disappointing, decent pasta but so much butter, not a great space. Pretty average wine for 17$ per glass.
Amazing food and service! It was our first time trying Pasta Pooks and the food was delicious! We had the bread service, followed by the baccalà to start which was served on fried polenta and the italian sausage appetizer. They were absolutely to die for and really set the tone for a great dinner! We had the gnocchi with tomato sauce and the garganelli with a butter and mushroom sauce for our mains, which were all homemade and equally delicious. The portions were perfect and the value received for the price is outstanding. I highly recommend going!
Truly the most amazing fresh pasta I have ever had. We tried the spinach ravioli and some spiralized type of pasta (forget the name) with mushrooms. Both were unreal!
Small artsy restaurant. Delicious fresh pasta. Seasonal menu. We had the cod as an appetizer. It was light and tasty. We tried all their pastas. Everything was just delicious. Portions were reasonable. The waitress knew the menu well and explained everything to us. It was a very enjoyable meal. I recommend making reservations because this place is very popular and gets full quickly.
Great pasta in little Italy. Some people say it pricey but it’s absolutely worth it for the quality! Highly recommend
Great ambiance, great fresh pasta
Such a great hole-in-the-wall sort of restaurant. They have a limited menu and it really allows skill to shine. Their semolina pasta was perfectly bouncy and the white ragu was delicious. The raviolo pasta was beautiful - thin pasta, stuffed full, with a lovely sage sauce. The service was also so lovely, one of the waitresses sat down to explain various dishes to us which helped a lot! If I lived in Montreal, you'd see me here weekly.
6.8/10 Pretty disappointing overall. I tried the spinach/ricotta ravioli, and the sauce was basically melted butter, not creamy, not flavorful, just… there and plain. The ravioli filling had no real taste, and the spinach was completely bland. The tagliatelle bolognese had plenty of meat, but the flavor profile was flat. On top of that, the pasta was overcooked, which didn’t help. There are definitely better pasta spots out there. The cheesesteak was another miss. The meat was chewy, the bread was chewy, and the whole thing was hard to get through. Not my style of cheesesteak at all. Overall, not worth the hype. If you’re already in the area, maybe give it a try, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. 6.8/10
