Your fish can be fresher, colder and firmer. The blackened sea urchin was unacceptable to bring on to the table. The bill came to over $600 for two. I refuse to imagine what that can do in Tokyo, or Vancouver, or even New York. And pathetically there’s not much better sushi choice in town.

The food was good but it was very pricey for what you got.
We were very disappointed with our experience. Despite having reserved a table in the dining area, we were seated at the counter upon arrival. It was Valentine’s Day and we were hoping for a more elevated, romantic sushi experience. When we explained this to our server, they suggested we try the omakase (menu dégustation) rather than the chef’s selection, which we had originally been drawn to. Since it was our first time, the server subtly convinced us that the omakase would be the better experience, saying that it would allow us to try a wide variety of things. Naturally, we assumed that meant a generous variety of sushi. We trusted their recommendation and went with it. What we didn’t realize until the bill arrived was that the omakase was significantly more expensive than the chef’s selection. And nowhere during that conversation were we clearly informed of the price difference. We felt misled. Once the dishes started arriving, it was anything but sushi. I understand that some people appreciate a more elaborate and experimental tasting menu, but we came specifically for sushi and instead received five plates of various fish, beef, and sauces, followed by just 8 pieces of nigiri at the very end. Deeply disappointing. The bill came to $487 before tip, far more than we anticipated. We were never given a clear heads-up about the final cost, which left us feeling blindsided. Oh and the omakase price wasn’t on the menu card..
Top 3 sushi in mtl O torro baby
Exquisite tasting menu in a beautiful space with an excellent sake, wine, and cocktail menu. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about all of the sake on their menu and was able to recommend one that matched perfectly with our palette. Each dish was beautifully prepared and thoughtfully paired with interesting ingredients. All of the fish was incredibly fresh and the service was impeccable.
Best sushi place in Montreal!! Quality was amazing and if you take the discovery plate for two you have more than enough! It comes with a miso soup (amazing) and steamed edamame beans (delicious). Waiters were amazing at guiding us in our choice of meal and drinks.
The food is okay. The beef rib is very tender but it has this bloody taste. Maybe the beef is not clear well. The sashimi is not consistent, some were fishy tasting and some were good. The maki are not special. The dessert is good but need changes to make it better. The service is okay , the staffs are nice but they need to work better as a team since mid order he left us to serve another table.
Mediocre at best with both service and food. Not worth the wait for weeks for a reservation. If you offer a protein on the menu and order it medium rare it should NOT be presented medium. We never saw or heard back from sever to see how we were enjoying meal until the end of the meal. Then offering a free dessert (which we declined) for the poor meal with no real apology shows little respect for their guests.
This is what they call uni from New Brunswick? I ordered for delivery and this is what I get… so disappointed… A friend referred me to this restaurant "best sushi in montreal" More like bad sushi in montreal…What a shame.
Had an amazing diner with my daughter yesterday. Was seated at the sushi bar and had the chance to chat with Antonio. Best quality fish in Montreal if you ask me. Bluefin Toro omg 😋 Thank you Antonio for the extra touch, truly appreciated
Look, for Montreal standards, this is a terrific restaurant. The food is reliable, the service attentive, the atmosphere chic and appropriate. BUT! And this is a huge qualifier. I can eat at Park with my family and easily blow $ 2,000 for a satisfying meal (7 people, no booze), ordering all their signature dishes. But I can then go to Nobu, in New York, spend $ 1,200 USD and be blown away... by the exceptional quality of the food, the originality of the Peruvian-Japanese fusion, and a Manhattan kind of ambience (well, because it is in Manhattan). Which means that Park is a pale imitation of a restaurant it really cannot emulate, but charges the same prices as that 5-star experience.
