I had a few bites of the ghormeh sabzi and couldn’t finish it because it tasted very bitter and burnt. When I politely brought up my concerns, the man just looked at me without saying anything, no apology, no offer to replace the dish, and no refund. I ended up paying full price for a meal I couldn’t eat.

I had an incredible experience at Perfume of Persia. This place is truly something special. It’s run by the most amazing, welcoming couple who clearly put their heart into everything they do. The food is exceptional—everything tastes homemade, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. Places like this are rare, and it’s clear they’ve created something built on passion, pride, and love for what they do. Highly recommended.

I’d love to share my experience of visiting this café with you. It’s a very beautiful place with an amazing atmosphere, a great food menu, and a truly delicious breakfast. I highly recommend that anyone living in Montreal or visiting Montreal stop by and experience this wonderful vibe. The owner is also very kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better.

Suoer cozy spot with delicious food! The owner was very welcoming and gave us great recommendations for food and side dish pairings. I had the persian fog which was deliciously aromatic. The fesenjan was tender and the pomegranate sauce tangy and delicious! We also ordered ghormeh sabzi, and it was tangy and savoury in the best way. The two dishes with generous helpings of saffron rice and a creamy side of yoghurt made for a amazing meal. I look forwards to coming back the next time I'm in Montreal.

If you want a full immersive experience of Iran in Montreal, I highly recommend Parfum de Perse. From the colorful Persian carpets and beautiful decor to the traditional music playing in the background, everything makes you feel transported into Persian culture. The food is absolutely delicious, authentic, and made with great quality ingredients. Beyond the food, the hospitality is what truly stands out — warm, welcoming, and generous in the true Persian way. It’s not just a restaurant, it’s a cultural experience. A perfect place for anyone who wants to discover Iranian culture through atmosphere, flavors, and genuine hospitality.

Loved the authentic vibe. The saffron candy stick in the black tea is a must-try, and their ash soup was rich and flavorful. 5 stars!

wonderful owner, very welcoming and warm. They have multiples vegetarian options for meals. Very filling. The labneh was delicious and enhanced the flavour so much. The persian fog was a bit subtle in flavour for my taste, but it was made with a lot of love. The place has a lot of board games available for people to enjoy, and they also offer alcoholic drinks too. i think it would be a cute date spot. Have yet to try their desserts but they look delicious so i will definitely come back!

I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt this experience needed to be shared. I came to meet friends who had already been told that outside food wasn’t allowed. We respected the rule, and every single person in the group ordered something, drinks, cakes, or both. Despite that, we felt watched the entire time. The owner’s reaction to a small piece of baklava in a tupperware created an extremely uncomfortable atmosphere that overshadowed the fact that we were paying customers. The constant angry staring from behind the counter made us feel unwelcome rather than appreciated. We ended up leaving early and continuing our meetup elsewhere. Unfortunately, this isn’t a place I plan to return to.

We were a big group. Everyone ordered either coffee or type of dessert of both. One friend had a small Tupperware of homemade baklava. When she invited us to take one small piece of baklava each, they come saying we are not allowed to eat anything not from their place!! Even that we all already ordered from their place!! We didn't bring a big dessert like a big cake or something and we didn't request any empty plates or utensils from them!! The friend just invited us to take a small piece of baklava each by hand! Greedy! I will not come back!

Hello, thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify that bringing outside food into the establishment is strictly prohibited, as outlined in the reservation agreement. This policy applies regardless of whether guests have placed orders or the quantity or type of outside food brought in. This place has a really great atmosphere if you like Persian culture. The Music, decoration and the smell in the air, took me right back to my country. We tried Halim Bademjan, followed by two Persian tea, and a super delicious Baklava Cake, that I think was the best part of the our evening. It was so good that we bought two more to take home and eat later. The owners are super warm and kind. Totally Recommended

Delightful! The pistachio cake is a touch pricey, but it does taste divine. Persian latte is so pretty and creamy, not too sweet. Walnut Baklava is nice!

We had a wonderful experience at this Iranian café-restaurant. We’ve been there several times and tried different dishes, including the Dizi (Abgoosht), Baghali Polo with lamb shank, and Fesenjan, and every single dish was absolutely delicious. The food tastes authentic and is clearly prepared with great care and quality ingredients. The atmosphere is beautiful and very warm, with a charming Persian style that makes the place feel special and welcoming. The service is also excellent—the staff regularly checks in to make sure everything is perfect, which makes you feel very well taken care of. We also tried their cakes, and they were outstanding. The desserts were fresh, beautifully presented, and truly delicious. Overall, we highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great Iranian food in a lovely and cozy atmosphere. We’ll definitely be coming back again!
