Great food , great service and amazing atmosphere , highly recommend this restaurant.
Visited Orexi in early Feb 2026 after hearing it was listed as one of the best new restaurants of 2026. Food was quite delicious! We started with grilled octopus, moussaka croquettes, and the orexi special (fried zucchini and eggplant). The croquettes were especially good and a very cool interpretation of the classic greek dish. As a main, we shared oysters, a grilled med sea bass, tiger shrimps, lamb chops, and a greek salad; all of which were cooked to perfection and very tasty! Baklava for dessert was a little soggy but still delicious, loukoumades were also great. I would have given a 5-star review but I found that the service was just a bit slow, we were 6 people and dinner lasted almost 4 hours, which felt a little drawn out.
A++ Dinner - Food, Service, Ambiance all top notch.
Lovely ambience with Greek music in the background. Professional, attentive server named Kosta who offered great suggestions. Food was sinfully delicious! The octopus is a must along with the zucchini & eggplant chips! The grilled chicken was moist and cooked to perfection! The lamb shank was tender and tasteful….and finally the loukoumades which was the perfect dessert for a wonderful evening at Orexi restaurant! Will definitely be back 😊
Such a great experience -easily one of the best new Greek Restaurants around. Huge thank you to Panagioti and his amazing smile as well as the amazing staff for their warm hospitality. Compliments to the chef and the kitchen team for absolute perfection. Our table of four shared the octopus which was tender and perfectly grilled, the steak cooked exactly right, and the fish was fresh and beautifully seasoned. The zucchini chips were dangerously addictive, especially the vodka rigatoni, OH YEAH! Great food, great vibe. We left already planning our next visit. Top tier Greek dining experience. By the way love the decor! Like they say in French, A la Prochaine ! OPA !
This hidden gem in Old Montreal is an absolute must-visit. We started with one of their specialty cocktails—perfectly balanced between sweet and sour (brandy, passion fruit, and ginger beer), and easily one of their standout signature drinks. The evening began with a couple of sides, including chopped and Greek salads, followed by a perfectly grilled octopus that was a total hit. For the main course, the Mediterranean sea bass was beautifully flavorful and paired wonderfully with grilled vegetables and lima beans—everything was equally delicious. We ended the night on a high note with incredible desserts: honey balls drizzled with Nutella, black cherry yogurt, and their famous baklava. A special thank you to Peter, our waiter, who was extremely attentive and guided us through the menu with excellent recommendations. Thank you to the entire team for a wonderful experience.
Warm atmosphere beautiful seating tasty food. Cozy place overall.
Very impressive. Nice place Great food. Will be back again
This was our second visit. The experience at this restaurant was, again, delightful, from start to finish. The food was exceptional…, again. Denis has always been an ace. The staff awesome, and the ambiance was perfect. The ideal establishment for a cozy soirée. Highly recommended!
Absolutely loved my experience at Orexi Estiatorio. The lamb was a solid 10/10, the fried zucchini was another 10/10, and the truffle fries were delicious… everything was perfectly executed. What really stood out was the staff and hosts. Easily some of the nicest I’ve had in a while: thoughtful, calm, and genuinely super conversational. It’s clear proof that when you have a great owner/chef leading the way, the staff follows and the experience shows!
If you haven’t had a chance to try Restaurant Orexi Estiatorio in Old Montreal, then go soon!! You’ll be VERY happy you did. Some of the best Greek food we’ve had anywhere, Greece included! BEST grilled octopus in Montreal hands down.. lamb chops were perfect! Desserts are made in house!!
This restaurant is truly a gem. My only hesitation in adding a review is that too many people will discover it and it will be hard to get a reservation! The staff was completely lovely and welcoming - attentive in a genuine and engaged way. The food was out of this world. I would eat the Greek spreads mezze for every meal and only take a break to swap it for the croquettes de moussaka. Don't miss out on this place!
