Great spot for breakfast/lunch! Had the Avocado Toast - one of the best I've tried! Good coffee and great service!

Matcha was not good at all, extremely overpriced, cant use ur computer on some tables (the cafe is already small enough….) from 11:00 to 14:00 and it closes at 16:00….. not study friendly. Baristas were nice but thats about it. My almond brioche was dry as well but priced reasonably. The food is definitely overpriced tho.

It seems you are having a bad day, and for that we are sorry. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience at our café - reviews like yours always help us grow and improve. Our pastries are all homemade and made fresh daily. The occasional mishap can happen, and we always own up to it. We are more than happy to warm them up or replace them with another pastry if you simply ask. However, the size of our space, our hours, our laptop policy, and our pricing are not areas we feel need to change following your visit, and here is why: The walls to start with — we don't feel like it is achievable for us to push them. The size is subjective of course, but 50 seats is larger than the average Montreal downtown café. Our hours - opening hours are a business decision made months in advance, meticulously planned to best serve the majority of our customers and to allow us to run a sustainable operation. Our laptop policy - we serve specialty coffee and brunch, pastries and sandwiches and many more, and when we opened, our goal was to create a social environment - one we are proud to say we achieved. There is something rare and almost indescribable about walking into a room full of people connecting with one another in this day and age. We also recognize that working on a laptop with a fresh cup of coffee in a lively setting is always nicer than sitting at your kitchen table, which is why we tolerate it - in a way that does not compromise our operations. With that said, it seems like what you are asking is for us to accommodate you on a Saturday during brunch hours and past our closing time - which feels less like us needing to improve, and more like us being asked to cater to your agenda rather than run our small business. Our prices - just like our hours, pricing takes considerable work to establish. Nothing has a fixed cost. The days of businesses overcharging are long gone - in 2026, small establishments charge what they need to cover ever-rising rent, insurance, taxes, quality ingredients sourced from other small businesses, and fair wages for our qualified (and as you pointed out, nice) staff. We are priced in line with the market for what we offer. If your reference point is a chain restaurant, we understand the confusion - but we will never be able to, nor will we ever try to, match the prices of a multimillion-dollar mass-production operation. We are something different entirely. Our matcha - we use Matcha Mizukaze from Camellia sinensis, one of the highest ceremonial grades available, and follow a strict preparation protocol to ensure consistency. We do not doubt that it tastes different from what you may be used to, but we as matcha drinkers like our recipe and product. We hope you find a place that better suits your needs, and we wish you a better day ahead.

Such a nice and cozy spot! It’s bright, welcoming, and has a really pleasant atmosphere. The staff are super friendly, and I loved the coffee and the pastries — there’s a great selection. I’m already looking forward to coming back to try their brunches. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to return to, whether you’re getting some work done or catching up with a friend over an excellent cup of coffee.

A modern yet cozy little breakfast apot. A surprising amount of students and wfh-er's, but it's cool. Got the bagel tower, aptly named, and an absolutely SMASHING chai latte, that thing was like crack what the hell

very pretty space with tons of natural light. moka was decent. the brookie seemed undercooked but we were told it was supposed to be like that. note that they limit most of their tables to be laptop-free from 11-2pm

A MUST-VISIT cute cafe in the heart of Montreal! It has a modern Jazzy vibe, and food is unbelievably good. I mean, literally every dish is stunningly photo worthy! The staff is super kind, and i ended up getting a ton of cool Montreal suggestions from them during my short stay. Cant recommend Onna Café enough!

This place is a 5/5 for me! The people are so welcoming, and I got served by the guy with the hat — he was super nice and attentive. He was clearly French-speaking, but he still made the effort to serve me in English, which I really appreciated. I had the pumpkin soup and it was sooo good — warm, flavorful, and perfect. The food came out quickly, and everything tasted fresh. The ambiance of the place is cozy, warm, and inviting — such a nice spot to relax, catch up with friends, or even just enjoy some alone time. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to others!

The place is very cute, lots of sunlight and the interior is modern and elegant. The food looks great but it doesn't taste as good as it looks (at least the 3 dishes we tried). It is either too salty, too bland, too dry, not enjoyable to eat.

One of my favourite cafes in Montreal is here! Everything from A to Z is great! Their hospitality, food and especially their coffees! I ordered bagel breakfasts and one cappuccino, they were awesome! However, the breakfast was cold and i thought it should he warm! Maybe my bad! But overall the taste was super good ! The cappuccino was the best I’ve ever had in Montreal! Im a food blogger so i know about the tastes! Try this cafe and you wont be disappointed!

I visited Onna from Toronto, the place is bright and they have a very good selection of brunch items. I ordered an iced matcha latte and one avocado toast, they were both incredible!

I love onna cafe! The drinks are made really well, especially the chai latte which is my usual. The food and pastry options are also both plentiful and delicious. The atmosphere is great, and it’s a nice place to both get work done and grab a bite with a friend.

This place is amazing because the staff is so friendly. Also, the coffee is a 10/10 and the cheesecake is a 20/10. I’m going back for sure!

Lovely cafe with a kitchen. Had a cortado and banana bread. Music wasn't too loud. Not crowded. Can easily sit down and do some work for a bit or chat with friends. Lot of plants.
