Clean decor and very cute shop. Good amount of seats inside with self serve water. The staff barely acknowledge us when we walked in and no greeting whatsoever. They shoved us the food with no soy sauce. The onigiri itself - some flavors were not in stock. The rice and seaweed were too soggy and the raw fish were sort of cooked through. The seasoning was ok. Appreciate the amount of ikura in the salmon luxe though. Overall would not come back.

Food is great here, if you like proper raw onigiri this is a great stop. I love that soy egg onigiri, the ikura one was amazing and resembles what I get from Japan.

It’s not very good. Also, they short us a edamame. If you are into health food, maybe choose this , because it really tastes like no salt no fat. But be careful when you pick up the food, they may short you stuff. Avoid plum onigiri at all costs. It’s the worst onigiri I’ve tasted in my whole life. I wasn’t expecting onigiri can taste bad in anyway until I tried this one. It tastes like rotten rice. In the shop the table and decoration are not bad. Just the table sometimes have some small food residue like a bit sauce, but it’s not that bad, it’s okay.

Come here for a no nonsense, healthy, delicious, and fresh Japanese rice bowl. I got the Don Bui 10 which included Tuna, avocado, and jammy egg on top of white rice, cucumbers and their onidon sauce. The sauce was yummy and not overwhelming and I want to say the entire bowl could be considered vegan if it didn’t have the tuna. They do have a Vegan option btw for those wondering. I came at a 2pm on Friday and the place was empty. Plenty of places to sit inside, which was clean, albeit space, and filled with lots of natural light from the large windows in front of the spot. It lacks an outdoor seating option but there’s parks nearby that you can easily walk to and enjoy. The staff was playing great music and was really friendly (shoutout to Farah 🫶🏼). I’d def recommend to a friend for a healthy, fast, and quality meal for a price that won’t break the bank.

Very kind staff. I bought one Eel Onigiri and I regret it because it was so delicious and filling that it made me wish I ordered more. I'd definitely come back if I lived closer.

Takes over 40 minutes between ordering and receiving food when there are fewer than 10 customers at the time of ordering. Also unsanitary as one of the cooks grabs a UPS delivery package with her gloved hands and continues preparing food without chaging gloves.

Made-to-order, ridiculously affordable onigiri chain. Loved the onigiri I had last time in their Sherbrooke location, so I had to drop by while I was in town. Parking in this neighborhood was a nightmare, so we just grabbed our order to go. This time, I went with the minced salmon and the salted yolk. The salted yolk was really satisfying. Just 3-4 yolks marinated in a sweet soy sauce. On paper, it sounds almost too simple, maybe even a bit boring. But if you grew up eating Korean or Japanese comfort food, you know the exact, deep-level satisfaction that comes from that specific rice, egg yolk, and soy sauce combo. Pure nostalgia. They also packed a massive amount of rice into each triangle, exactly how they build them in Japan. The rice-to-topping ratio might feel a bit off if you aren't used to it, but onigiri is historically designed to be a cheap, heavy filler. Two of these and I was completely stuffed. My friend ordered the salmon and shrimp tempura rice bowl. Came out looking like a miniature poke bowl. It was fine, but given the price point, I would probably skip the bowl and just take that money to load up on three extra onigiri instead.

All onigiri shops are the same. Just ordered to go. the onigiri had no flavours and all of them exploded (could not stand their triangle form after just one bite) I have far better experience with the one in Brossard. I may have come on a bad day, but I won’t try the griffintown branch anymore

I’ve had such an amazing experience at OniGiri! Zeed is truly one of the kindest people—his service, honesty, and genuine communication really stand out. You can tell he takes pride in his craft, and he always makes you feel welcome. I’ve already gone back four times, largely because of him (though the food definitely keeps me coming too 😄). Everything is delicious, but the Fusion Chicken Tama is easily my favorite!

I love this place! The staff are super helpful and friendly. My order got mixed up and they were so accommodating and fixed it promptly. My favourite is the shrimp kanikama and the raw salmon onigiri😋

Delicious onigiri with great flavor and fair pricing. The service is kind and welcoming. The only downside was the restroom, which had a very strong scent from cleaning products. As someone with allergies, this was uncomfortable. It would be appreciated if cleaning products were stored more carefully to reduce the intensity of the запах.
