I got 2 spicy salmon onigiri here the other day and was disappointed. They were mainly rice and very little salmon. Also the rice was completely mushy, making it difficult to eat. The service was nice though.

I ordered for pick up through their website. When I arrived to retrieve my order it was not ready as they do not check the website. After some hunting they find the order and begin preparing it. Not a huge problem, I wait. The main issue was the food itself. They were poorly assembled and partially falling apart when I opened the box (I was gentle with the takeout box). Some of the onigiri were good, but several had a lot of rice and very little filling. The worst part, however, was the order was 1 onigiri short. As I had already spent more time than anticipated waiting on the order, I didn't want to go back, so I tried to call for a refund. I left a message but never I received a response. I've had good experiences at other locations of Onigiri Shop, but my meal from the Beaubien location was not good.

Onigiri shop used to make good onigiri but unfortunately for a while now it's a reoccurring experience in different Onigiri shop, including this one, that there's barely any filing and a just a bunch of rice. It used to be more balanced, it's very deceiving :(

really delicious and fresh onigiri! i'm personally very picky about where i eat raw salmon but this place definitely has it fresh. the mount fuji was really good, there's a lot of flavours going on in an almost overwhelming way, and the egg yolk and avocado made it super rich. honestly sent my bf and i in the deepest food coma lol. but really good overall!

The portion are huge, but it's a lot of rice than filling. The downside is that after one/two bites of the onigiri, it falls apart and becomes very messy. It's good tho, nice for snacking.
