Really great spot to get fresh made dumplings, pork cabbage were awesome. Other plates were on point as well. Beef and broccoli, general tao, rice noodles and chicken, chicken fried rice. Portions were generous. Prices far, service on point and it was packed when we walked in. These guys are use to being busy and pushing out great food.
Reviews / Ratings for Oh Dumplings
My partner and I went on a Sunday afternoon, and we were served by a pleasant young waitress. We ordered the spicy beef and peanut soup --a definite favourite of ours. We also had a side of chicken and cabbage dumplings which were tasty. The prices are always easy on the pocket, which we appreciate!
We tried fried rice, noodles and dumplings. Dumplings were awesome, fried rice too. Noodles were o
Sooo good best place to eat in China town
food was decent ,service was bad the person taking our order was rude and reacted badly when i said we were only getting 1 plate of dumplings and once we got our food she tossed our plate on the table and leff without saying a word the cups of water were dirty and me and my friends didn’t felt welcome and force us to give more tip
I went to this restaurant and ordered takeout. To my surprise, they handed me the food in cups/plates without any kind of bag or proper packaging for transport. When I asked for a bag or container to take it, I was informed that I would have to pay an additional cost for the packaging. I find it unprofessional that a takeout order does not include basic packaging, or that it is not clearly communicated before charging extra. This makes the experience uncomfortable and gives the impression of a lack of organization and consideration for the customer. I hope they can improve this aspect, as the service experience is just as important as the food. So if you go to the restaurant, bring your own bag…
If you see one stressed person doing the serving, taking orders, and cashing out customers, turn around and go somewhere else. Dumplings are good, but service is lacking because they under staff.
Best dumplings ever. 10 years after, I came back to these dumplings, and they are still THE BEST (and i had a LOT of dumplings from different places).
Pros: The dumplings were pretty good, and I liked they used handmade wrappers. Cons: we ordered the cucumber salad and it was disgusting. I was born and grew up in China, I know what a cucumber salad is supposed to taste like, which is usually garlicky or sour and spicy and savoury from the inclusion of soy sauce. Their cucumber salad tasted like dessert, so sweet and covered in sugar it gave me a toothache after two bites. It had no other flavour than sweet, it made me wonder if the chef was sick because I can't understand how a healthy Chinese person would make something this inedible and serve it to the public. Neither me nor my partner could stomach the taste so we asked if we could send it back or trade it for another dish of an equivalent value. I explained in Chinese to the owner that this is not at all what I thought we were ordering, it tastes nothing like the Chinese cucumber salads I've been eating my whole life, and if I had known it would taste like this, i would have never gone for it. She responded with a "no way, everyone has their own palate" which is a hilarious statement BC you are running a Chinese restaurant where people expect to eat Chinese food that tastes like Chinese people made it, not white Canadians who don't know what they're doing. And the straight up denial and deflection, from one Chinese person to another, was quite shocking. I felt I had to write a review here because people should know before they order this awful awful dish.
Some of the best dumplings and soup i’ve ever had. The quality of the food and the quality of the service were impeccable.
Have visited this restaurant often, came again after couple years, average food! The lady demanded and fought with me over tips, tipping is optional not mandatory and wanted more than 10% for serving 1 dish? In the end almost made me pay 15% I held my ground on 10%, never ever have I been forced to this end very disappointing experience
UPDATE (01/13/2026) I’m not removing my first-time review, this update is just me giving this place another chance, and this time I came with my family. I’ll be completely honest: this visit was much better. We were all satisfied and full, and I finally got to try their new special dumplings. Hot, very tasty, and perfect for the gloomy winter weather. There was almost no wait, and the food came out within just a few minutes. Unfortunately, my family didn’t get to try their fried rice because the chef who makes it was on break/vacation. But overall, my family was happy and satisfied, and for that reason I’m increasing my star rating. Definitely a better experience this time around! (First Review / First Experience) ★★★☆☆ We decided to try Oh Dumplings in Chinatown, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. First thing to point out the service was very slow. We took into consideration that there were other people at the restaurant, but the delays were still hard to justify. Our order included Beef & Coriander Dumplings, Fish & Coriander Dumplings, General Tao Chicken, Chicken Noodles, Vegetable Fried Rice, and Wonton Soup. The dumplings came out after about 15-20 minutes, followed by the General Tao shortly after. But then, we waited around 40-45 minutes for the rest of our food. By the time the noodles and fried rice arrived, we had already finished the dumplings and General Tao, sitting at an empty table for almost an hour just waiting for the rest. At that point, we honestly lost our appetite. The food itself is okay nothing mind-blowing but decent. The dumplings were flavorful, especially with the coriander touch. The General Tao was on the sweeter side, which may not be for everyone. The fried rice and noodles were fine, but after waiting so long, we didn’t really enjoy them as much as we could have. Overall if you have patience and time to spare, the food is passable, but nothing about the taste justifies that long of a wait. We likely won’t be returning anytime soon unless they improve the service speed.
Menu is limited, very "white" Chinese food. When we went, most people in there are in fact no Chinese. Food we did end up getting was good but I wouldn't go there again just because it's not what I want out of the menu.
