Just a great little bistro that serves up hearty fare and fresh craft beers. Right in the heart of Montreal near Chinatown and the conference center district. Just a charming little place that oozes classic French bistro vibes but is at the same time proudly unmistakably Canadien. The service is friendly and fast, and the kitchen is effective; putting out on point bistro grub promptly! Definitely a place to spend a garrulous evening with friends!!

Nice and friendly pub. I was not too sure on which beer to drink and the waitress was really helpful. The calamari appetizer was good. The tartare was delicious. It had a little kick to it. We had a great time there.

We visited NYKS to celebrate a friend's birthday, and it was a great place to spend a special evening together! We ordered several dishes to share and try, including the Venison Burger with smoked cheddar, the Salade Gourmande, the Beer-Battered Fish & Chips, and the NYKS Classic Poutine with foie gras gravy. The presentation of the food was beautiful, and the portions were quite generous! Everything looked incredibly appetizing, especially the poutine topped with a crispy duck leg, which was definitely a showstopper. The Fish & Chips came with two large pieces of battered fish, fries, and a side salad, while the burger was served with a generous portion of fries and fresh greens. The Salade Gourmande was colorful and packed with ingredients, making it a great option for anyone looking for something lighter. Overall, NYKS was a lovely choice for a birthday celebration. A nice place to enjoy a meal with friends, good company, and a relaxed evening. Definitely worth checking out!

One of my favorite bars in MTL! Always return for a late night drink. It has the chillest environment and pints of sangria😉 They can make any signature cocktail and for your friends that don’t drink they have non alcoholic liquors! Service is always friendly.

One of my favorite spots in the city for a drink! The vibe is perfect and always busy, service is fast, the guinness is good and the food is phenomenal. Even if theres a small line, the wait is never long and they get you a drink as you wait. And they never rush you out the door. Absolutely recommend.

Very cozy ambience, and great food and drinks. Saganaki was really good and cocktails were well made. Unfortunately when I asked for a table for dinner at 9:30pm when the restaurant was half empty on a Monday night, I was told that I'll be moved to the bar if another party of 2 shows up and if they need my table. That was the condition to get a table and didn't sound pleasant at all.

We decided to come here randomly one night for dinner and drinks during our trip. We were visiting from Toronto and I didn’t even have this place added on my itinerary, but I was pleasantly surprised and will be adding this place to my favorites just because of how good it was! When we got to the restaurant we could already tell that this was a hot spot, it seemed like a nice place all the locals went to for drinks and catching up with friends! I believe we arrived around 10 pm and had to wait about 10 minutes for a table to clear up for us. The host was super friendly and she made sure we were all comfortable during our time here. The food and the drinks selection were absolutely fantastic! Everything was just delicious and I will definitely be coming back here on my next visit to Montreal!

This place is a straight vibe. This is the first and last restaurant we visit every time we come to Montreal. NYKS is forever a part of my heart, some of the best food and ambiance you can get in the city. Cannot recommend more please give this place a chance.

Alexandre is an absolutely amazing bartender! He opened the bar 30 minutes early just so we could come in, enjoy a beer, and cool down. How incredible is that? At first, we genuinely thought he was the owner, because only someone who truly cares about the place would provide such outstanding service. Alexandre made us feel incredibly welcome. A solid 10/10 for both him and this bar!

Its always super busy here and if you can get a table without a long wait youre lucky. The duck legs appetizer were really delicious. All the food was well made. The service was a little slow and it took us a long time to flag our server. Thats to be expected here as there are 2 or 3 servers and they are running ragged as the place is always packed. Enjoyable ill be happy to return.
