The food is usuallyvoretty good. Went there last week with friends and we ended up walking out. The tall eldwr waiter is so arrogant and rude, even when its quiet. Not the 1st time. I mentioned to him i have nut allergies,as i always do when earong tbere ( many many times) his reply ( arrogant tone) was why do you even eat here He had been rude to my friend also,so we ended up walking out. Horrible service, you have just lost several frequent diners

Daughter and I made a good decision to eat here. Two lovely servers. Fresh food. Good size portions and reasonable prices. Had general Tao, sesame chicken and special fried rice. I certainly recommend and now my new place to go in Montreal.
I like how big the menu is, and the portion sizes are generous as well and worth the money. It’s a great place for sharing different plates with a group. Don’t expect wow food! It is okay. The decor isn’t the best, but overall it was a good experience..
Found a long hair in our general Tao, the owner was super rude. We also found a piece of fish bow in our rice. The owner was really not professional with the situation. Refused to give us an discount for the disgusting situation.
Stumbled upon Noodles Star last Saturday afternoon while exploring the Plateau and honestly it's become my new go-to spot. The broth in their pho was so rich and complex that I ended up finishing every last drop, which almost never happens with me. The staff were super welcoming and didn't rush us even though we lingered way longer than planned. If you're looking for a solid, unpretentious bowl of noodles in Montreal, this place absolutely delivers.
From the moment I stepped into Star Noodles, I knew I was in for a memorable meal. The restaurant’s downtown location is bright, spotless, and inviting, immediately setting a positive tone for what followed. The shrimp noodles Tom Yum soup is a standout. The broth is incredibly flavorful—rich and aromatic without being overpowering. The shrimp are perfectly cooked: tender, succulent, and generous in portion. Each slurp reveals the delicate balance of salty, savory, and a hint of sweetness that keeps you coming back for more. The noodles themselves are springy and well-cooked, absorbing just the right amount of soup to deliver that comforting yet vibrant bite. Beyond the dish, the service was genuinely lovely. The staff are attentive without being intrusive, checking in at just the right moments and offering thoughtful recommendations. You can tell they take pride in hospitality, from the warm greeting to the careful presentation of the bill. It’s a level of care that makes you feel valued as a guest. Cleanliness stands out as well. The dining area is impeccably maintained, tables sparkling, and the kitchen visible in a way that reassures guests about hygiene and quality. It’s refreshing to dine somewhere that prioritizes cleanliness as a core part of the experience. Extras that deserve a shout-out: prompt service, well-timed course pauses, and a menu that thoughtfully caters to both seafood lovers and noodle enthusiasts alike. The overall value feels strong, given the quality of ingredients and the calibre of plating. If you’re in Montreal’s downtown and craving a crave-worthy shrimp noodle soup, Star Noodles is a wonderful pick. It combines excellent flavors, friendly service, and a pristine environment to create a dining experience you’ll want to repeat. Rating: 5/5 stars
The taste wasn’t good. Meat is really weird. If you are looking for Shanghai noodles don’t go there!
I came last year & the service was phenomenal & food tasted amazing I definitely I will come again !!
It is one of the restaurants that I keep returning to for the past years. The food is very satisfactory and the service is excellent.
Fresh delicious foods. Special thanks to Josephine, Helen and her sister. 100% Recommended 👍👌
I tried Thai Spicy Shrimp fried rice. It was so delicious . Good Portion, Great Flavour. 10/10 Underrated place.
Best general tao chicken in town
I love the food here. They always make it quick and the taste of the dishes hasn’t changed in as long as I can remember. I suggest getting takeout because the restaurant is old and not up to moderate standards. But it doesn’t change anything because the food is a lot more important.
I order a house special fried rice, and it was full pure salt, I couldn’t eat it, I been buying from you guys for the past 10 years but you guys are getting sloppy in to go orders. Is not the first, second or third time this happened. I don’t think I ever buying from you guys again.
One of the best places to get tasty Chinese food quick in town.
Best in town, loved the food.
The price of the food for how generous the portions are and delicious the food is is unmatched in montreal! Been coming here for years now and have never been disappointed. Very friendly and accommodating staff, would recommend to everyone!😊
Amazing we pick up for work on occasion. Always fire! 🔥
Best noodles I've had in a long time!! Thai style chicken fried rice was insane 👌🏼👌🏼
5 stars 5 stars 5 stars all the way, been coming here since I was a kid and it is the best in town. Highly recommend it
I just love it here, the food is great, decently priced and the service is so friendly. Its always a pleasure 🙏 i always get the ginger beef (suuuper tender) and my partner gets the tofu general tao (nice and crispy)
Very good, teriyaki chicken plate is delicious.
Edited 2025-03-23: I called in on March 11th, 2026 to order food. I was really craving Star Nouilles and ordered enough to cover me for the ice storm..... I was told to order via UberEats. In the past, when I have called, they either told me there was no delivery available or I lived too far (story varies frequently). I have never ordered via UberEats but I wasn't ready to drive downtown during an ice storm warning. Upon submitting my order, the confirmation mentioned OVER ONE HOUR for the food to arrive. Being TD1, that was simply too long of a wait time. A friend of mine decided to come pick me up and we'd pick up the order in person. I texted the Uber driver and was told it was not to late to cancel. Great news, however, I was charged the FULL amount. My messages to Uber Support for a full reimbursement have been nothing but copy/paste excuses for me having to pay in full (ex. the ordered was prepared and therefore you were charged). It's been stressful and with no resolution. **** Trust me, AVOID UBER Eats at ALL costs because they will charge you regardless **** The time spent trying to get a refund has resulted in numerous and endless hours. Please keep this in mind! Also, no resolution as of today's date. Please check with Office de la protection du consommateur because Uber Eats is on their list. Came across this restaurant after bad service elsewhere. Wait time was appropriate. Due to Covid, we had to order first, pay and then the food was brought to us at the dining table, AFTER the vaccine passport was required. Food was brought to us in plastic containers along with Styrofoam dishes, which I LOVE since they respect Covid sanitation rules (despite being bad for the environment). Boxes of Kleenex were also on most tables with sanitizer to be found closely. Parking is street parking which can be a challenge but we got lucky. The only reason I am giving them a 4 star is because other clients got rowdy (but hey, it's downtown) but they also there was a miscommunication with the order (we wanted soup but got Singapore nouilles instead). Nevertheless meals were great according to us both!!! Koodos on the hot and sour soup!
This used to be our weekly go to place but over the recent months, we have noticed the dishes we've been ordering has barely any protein pieces in there but it was filled with nothing but onions, green pepper and heavy sauce to hide it. Extremely disappointing. We don't know if this was a mistake or intentional but we were short changed 21.00 (waiter, a tall slim guy wearing a cap in late 50s). I don't think we will be returning back to restaurant ever again.
