Great hand pulled noodles (you can see the person making them thru the street window)! The dish I took was very tasty. Waiter are very efficient. I cam before 12pm and did not wait but after 12 there was a quite big line.

As we walk on our way back to our hotel we saw there was a queue, so we thought it must be good. we decided to come back around dinner time to try it out and it was great. The soup is exceptional but my favourite was the entree which was the spicy thinly sliced beef. Also the noodles are being made fresh and you can watch them from outside the window as they make them. Service is quick too, we didn’t have to wait long for our food to be served.

This is by far the best place I have eaten in chinatown, the service is excellent we ordered our food and it took at most 5 minutes for all the food to come. We lived in a hotel right next to china town and we went to a dumpling restaurant and a sushi restaurant but these noodles were different. Definitely will come back whenever we can.

We were visiting from Australia at the end of Aug 2026 and I had a craving for Lanzhou beef noodles. Luckily we found this restaurant in Montréal. We came just after their opening time so there was no queue and didn't have to wait long at all. Serving size was decent, their signature dish was tasty as I had expected, and we returned that afternoon back to Toronto on a satisfied stomach!

So delicious. We waited about 25-30 minutes in line and it was very worth the wait (though it would be better to come as a party of 1 or 2 people for a shorter wait). I got the dan dan noodle combo, size medium, as I was very hungry, and it was more than enough food. They were accommodating when I asked whether it contained sichuan peppercorn and were able to give me the peanuts on the side, as those were the only part of the dish that had sichuan peppercorn. The noodles, meat, tea egg, and cucumber salad were delicious. I did wish the tea egg and bok choy were warmer - they were clearly kept cold and then added to the hot bowl of noodles, so they weren’t fully warm. Service was very quick. The rest of my party got the beef noodle soup and enjoyed it.

Really enjoyed my experience at Nouilles de Zhan Lou! The atmosphere was great and the food was definitely the highlight. I especially recommend trying their noodles, there are so many different noodle options to choose from, which I really liked, and everything we tried was delicious. The service was alright and could have been a little better, but overall it didn’t take away from the experience. I also thought it was really cool that there’s a market downstairs to explore. Overall, a great spot with good food, a nice atmosphere, and lots of variety. I’d definitely recommend checking it out!

The line seems to move quickly, so don’t be put off. You don’t want to miss out on good noodles; they have a nice bouncy texture and the flavours are tasty. One point of criticism would be the amount of meat in the noodle bowl, which may feel a little meagre to some. There are two separate seating areas. We were seated in the one with some steps. It was very cramped and our table was on the edge of the step, so one seat was quite dangerous. If you shifted back a little too far, you would tip over and fall.

I went to Nouilles a few days back when I was feeling a little under the weather. The brothy vegetarian noodle I had here was EXACTLY what I needed. Very flavorful. Loved the texture of the hand pulled noodle. The portion was huge (what you see in the image is the "small" portion). Service was swift. Highly recommend.
