What a great experience in this little gem in Montreal. Awesome food, great vibes all around. If you want some great Chinese food while visiting go here!
Nice place, but no service, and food is not of good quality, noodles feel sticky
A must if you visiting Chinatown, the lines are long but once you try the noodles you will be rewarded.
This is the place to eat fresh hand spun noodles with veggies, meat and a broth depending upon what you order. There’s almost always a perpetual line outside as well as looking-loos watching the noodle process.
There was a line out the door and the reviews make the place seem top tier. The pasta is homemade and great quality but the overall flavor of the dish was lacking. Portion size is large but maybe 3oz of meat and a super overcooked egg.
We came here after seeing rave reviews online about the noodles. Did have to wait in line for a little bit on a Friday night to get seated. Immediately upon entry we saw the chefs working on the noodles behind the counters. The staff were rather busy and had a no-nonsense attitude, but we're from New York so we're used to this. The noodles were pretty good, but to be honest not the best we've had. I'd say it's worth a visit. But be careful about the portions... by "large", they really mean large.
A place like I like them ie a few choices with quick service. For me: Dan Dan with flat wide noodles. BING BANG, order, miamiam miamiamiamiam, pay, bye. And then you keep on thinking how good it was for the next hours. Repeat...
Simple but delicious! Bonus, there is a grocery store inside/below to grab some things before you leave. A suggestion is that if you are not an big eater choose a thinner noodle. #6 was delicious but a hearty offering.
As a noodle lover its been a long time I wanted to try this spot in Chinatown, where you see them make their noodles from scratch in front of the window, and did not disappoint. You choose the type of noodle you prefer for your dish. The food was tasty, generous portion, the noodles where perfectly chewy. Fair price. The restaurant is not so big but I loved it. Be aware that they usually have a big line up to get in. I knew it had to be good and it was. I'll be back for sure.
Food is great. Services needs a bit of more work but it is understandable since the place is always packaged. The line up was long and the space is a bit tight.
We lucked out and got a table when we walked in. The broth and noodles were amazing! The food came very quickly. We choose two small soups and one medium and they were huge! We ended up bringing home leftovers. Definitely recommend!
Great noodles!!! Busy place but the worth the wait.
Prepare to wait in line during rush hour but trust me. 110% worth it every single time. The divine smell alone walking by the restaurant should tell you everything you need to know. 10/10 everytime I eat there. Highly recommend
We had an enjoyable lunch at Nouilles de Lanzhou, a restaurant specializing in authentic Lanzhou-style hand-pulled noodles in Montreal’s Chinatown. This restaurant specializes in traditional Chinese hand-pulled noodles and braised beef noodle soup. The noodles are traditionally made fresh for each order. Visitors can watch the noodle-making process through the window. The menu features a variety of affordable options like signature Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup, Braised Beef Tendon Noodles, Dan Dan Noodles and side dishes such as Spicy Cucumber Salad, Edamame and Seaweed Potato Salad are also available. We ordered the Traditional LanZhou Hand-pull Beef Noodle and Zha Jiang Noodle with Homemade Pork Sauce. Both noodles tasted delicious and flavourful. They noodles tasted fresh with a chewy texture and the broth was light and savoury.
They put the food in the to go box for me
So delicious, we'll be back
good but long line
The noodles are great and though the waiting time is pretty long, the cause for it is reasonable. However, the staff are unbelievably rude and unprofessional. Not only do they not acknowledge the customers talking to them and roll their eyes when asked to get the bill, they demand you tip them a high percentage for that service. If you don’t, they’re going to toss the receipt in your face and tell you to go to Tim Hortons next time you want to eat.
When we first came across this noodle shop, there was a size able line at the entrance. The wait is around 30 minutes at 1pm to get inside. When you get inside, you can see the noodles being made, which is cool! The seating inside is modern and sleek, giving a very cozy fleeting with the stone tiles and walls. With being very clean. Especially the bathroom. Even though seating is small, it is very comfortable. But I suggest big families come ahead of time to find a table. I ordered the vegetable noodle soup, with edamame with preserved vegetable coming out first. Which I gotta say came out with very little persevered vegetable and more just edamame alone. It took 20 min for food to come out. The presentation could’ve been a little better. But the soup broth was very flavorful! I would say though I ordered the small size soup. But the amount of noodles I got were so much! So if you have a light stomach be sure to order small or get ready to take some home! The noodles were rich as well, but the soup lacked many vegetable or plant protein. But that’s to be expected from a noodle specialty shop. I say if you’re vegan or vegetarian expect a lot of soft tender noodles, and I mean a lot. Also for the vegetable soup, it comes with an egg. You can request to not have it. Overall if you like noodles you’ll like this place, but your expecting the soup to have tons of vegetables this isn’t the place
I'm craving the soup from my first time trying it 🤤
Amazing noodles and flavor. I had the beef brisket soup, sort of like a Chinese Pho. The noodles are customizable and hand made and the flavor there really shows. Overall flavor is fairly simple but tasty. There are not a lot of options overall, essentially just noodles/soup. Atmosphere is good overall as well, not a bad spot for a date or meetup, though not so great for larger groups. Place is busy and packed but for good reason.
They never answer the phone
Absolutely delicious food. Walked in unsure what to expect and will definitely be back!
Great noodle spot. My first time going. They are quick and efficient. The broth is really great. The beef tender. Price is reasonable for a small! Would return
