Best sushi spot in Montreal! While most people know them for quick takeout, dining in offers the coziest, quietest, jazzy Japanese vibe. My friend couldn't make it today, so I had to get takeout this time, but I'II definitely be back to sit down soon. Everything is super fresh and expertly prepared!!! Pro tip: Get here early for lunch—their grab-and-go sushi combos sell out fast! 10/10 recommend.

I adore Nippon sushi! My boyfriend and I eat in or pick up sushi here all the time after class (they have some good buy-1-get-1 deals on Uber Eats!). Sushi is my favourite food and I am never disappointed by Nippon sushi. Also, their avocado rolls are so generous! The owners are so friendly, and the inside is very nice and they play good music.

I love Nippon Sushi!! This is my top sushi spot in Montreal and I’ve eaten at every sushi spots including Okeya Kyujiro, Jun I, and Nama. This is the best casual spot to cure your everyday sushi cravings. If you want reasonably priced delicious sushi come here!

This is my absolute favourite casual sushi spot and it’s criminal that they don’t have closer to a 5 star rating. I’ve eaten at so many sushi spots in Montreal, and I always regret not coming to Nippon instead. The fish and rice are always great, the fish is never fishy and the rice is always the perfect texture. They have a larger variety of filling types that aren’t at every sushi restaurant, such as scallop or eel, and they are always delicious. They are generous with the fillings and the avocado rolls are GINORMOUS. I eat here all the time. I love sushi so much and I am always thinking about Nippon Sushi. It’s the perfect place to cure your sushi cravings. I owe my degree to Nippon Sushi <33

I absolutely recommend this place! It is one of the rare places in Montréal that does sushi well. They aren't sugary like other places (unless it is meant to be) and have high quality fish and sauces. It is great to take out or dine in. The atmosphere is both slick and comfortable

I’ve been to quite a few sushi places around the city, but this one completely blew me away! The fish is fresh and every single piece tastes absolutely amazing. 🤤 The vibes inside are so cozy and aesthetically pleasing. Also, the staff are super welcoming and friendly. Highly, highly recommended!

Worst sushi I’ve had in years. Avocado is not ripe and hard as a rock. Rice is dry. Looks like it was made hours ago. Soya sauce tastes weird. I’ve had avocado hosomaki from pretty much every sushi restaurant in Montreal and this is undoubtedly (and by far) the worst I’ve had. If you don’t have ripe avocado and someone orders avocado hosomaki, you call them to offer another option or to cancel the order, you don’t send unripe, rock hard avocado.

Fresh avocado roll and my favorite Moe roll. The space is very cozy and the staff are friendly. Definitely worth it for the quality price.
