Great trendy ramen spot, it ended up being super busy at lunch, but worth the wait. The cucumber salad was a little salty, but very refreshing The Tokyo has a delightfully clear savouriness with lots of ginger. The tonkotsu is rich and warm, perfect for a rainy day. The specials were super fun and the service was very accommodating despute the super busy lunch rush. Thank you for a lovely meal in Montreal!
I don't care too much for the ramen, but they have the best karaage. My friend and I love to share the cucumber salad. Another friend loves the spicy karaage. The curry with karaage is wonderful. The hamachi sashimi is delicious. Make sure to reserve for lunch time cause it's always packed.
the inside was super cool and the service was great, but the food fell a little flat.
Came here for early dinner with friends, the staff was friendly and the mazemen was really good!
Really cool spot with good Ramen!
The food was really good, the service was amazing, and also, the atmosphere is awesome, I liked the design so much, a lot of cool details were there to enjoy! Definitely recommended and I’ll take my friends who are not from Montreal to this place as soon as they’re in town!
Really enjoyed my time there! We were a large group and still didn't have to wait long to be seated. The ramen was really good too! Only slight is the noise levels (lots of people so it was very loud). Would still reccomend!
This place really has a Tokyo vibe. The ramen is the way to go here. loved it.
Visiting Montreal for work, I was excited to try this place for lunch. The menu item I ordered "Hakata Kaizoku" sounded great, and I ordered an extra egg with it. I don't even know if it's what I received - it just tasted (and looked) like minced garlic broth with noodles. And exactly 0 eggs. I really, really wanted to like it.
An absolutely awesome experience. Amazing, polite staff. The ramen, mocktails and cocktails are immaculate for a reasonable price. I would recommend this experience to ramen lovers with my eyes closed.
Nice spot, great food and service. The vibes are great and the prices low for the quality of the food.
Amazing!
10/10 experience - high quality food and service Overall we had such an amazing experience. The waiter was kind and offered suggestions to add to our drinks order, as my partner likes yuzu. I got the H20 and loved the taste of Sake and Mezcal. The ramen I had was a rich, fatty and salty broth with amazing taste and fresh noodles. Definitely delicious but if you're looking for a healthy option try the Miso! My partner had their signature mazesoba and it was AMAZING with fresh herbs and meat. For this price point in this neighbourhood I'd highly recommend it. 10/10 value too.
Best. Ramen. In. Town. The open kitchen concept adds and extra dimension to the experience they’re offering at Neotokyo. The aesthetic makes you feel like you’re stepping off the streets of Montreal into a local ramen shop in Tokyo! The drinks are great and pair well with the food they offer. If you’re in the area or not, it’s worth trying. Before myself and the group of friends I went with left we were already planning to come back again shortly. Not only is a fun and cool place to check out the food is one of the best bites I’ve had in Montreal.
Forget the location and the interior design - a riff on Blade Runner - and come just for the food that is amazing. You close your eyes and are transported to Japan. Takoyaki and mazemen were outstanding. Will have to return multiple times to test all the items on the menu.
The brothless ramen with beef and raw egg yolk on top was perfection!! Typically I would go for ramen with broth but decided to switch it up and I’m sooooo glad I did!
soo good GET THE CREAMY BACON NOODLES PERFECT QUANTITY AND EVERYTHING
This was really good I went with my friend and the service was amazing !
Best ramen !
The ramen was OK but nothing special. The place itself is cool. However, I was disappointed by the cocktail. As you see, there was too much ice for 12 Cad. Actually, it was not comfortable to drink because of the ice. When I asked for the straw, I got it served the way I am holding. So not very hygienic at all. There was no individual packaging or anything. The waiter was literally holding it like this..
Yummy restaurant for ramen. I ordered a brothlrss ramen, I believe it was the NeoTokyo, it was a bit salty but still delicious. Also ordered the corn ice cream, nice and sweet.
Great experience overall, the mazesoba could be a little less salty and the ramen could use a little more salt.
The atmosphere was great, but it can get a bit noisy and the tables are fairly close together, so it’s not the most intimate setting. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. Everything we ordered was really flavorful. For two people, sharing one appetizer and ordering two main dishes, the total came to around $60 CAD before tip, which felt very reasonable. A great option if you’re looking for tasty relaxed dinner
I had such a great experience, easy 5 stars. The vibe alone is worth the visit. It honestly felt like stepping into one of those dark, cinematic video game restaurant scenes, moody lighting, graffiti walls, a kind of futuristic Tokyo metal aesthetic. It’s edgy and industrial, but somehow still cool and chic at the same time. Not pretentious, just effortlessly stylish. The whole space feels immersive, like you’re in on something special. For food, we told our waiter to surprise us and pick the dishes, and that was 100% the right move. Every plate that came out was excellent. Everything felt balanced, intentional, and exciting without trying too hard. The drinks were also great. I ordered one of their house cocktails with sake and peach (I wish I remembered the name), and it was perfectly done, smooth, slightly sweet, super refreshing, and not overpowering. Definitely one of those drinks you could have more than one of. Between the atmosphere, the food, and the drinks, Neotokyo absolutely delivered. If you’re looking for a spot that feels unique and memorable while still serving genuinely amazing food, this is it. Will definitely be back.
