Great experience overall, the mazesoba could be a little less salty and the ramen could use a little more salt.
Reviews / Ratings for Neotokyo
The atmosphere was great, but it can get a bit noisy and the tables are fairly close together, so it’s not the most intimate setting. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. Everything we ordered was really flavorful. For two people, sharing one appetizer and ordering two main dishes, the total came to around $60 CAD before tip, which felt very reasonable. A great option if you’re looking for tasty relaxed dinner
I had such a great experience, easy 5 stars. The vibe alone is worth the visit. It honestly felt like stepping into one of those dark, cinematic video game restaurant scenes, moody lighting, graffiti walls, a kind of futuristic Tokyo metal aesthetic. It’s edgy and industrial, but somehow still cool and chic at the same time. Not pretentious, just effortlessly stylish. The whole space feels immersive, like you’re in on something special. For food, we told our waiter to surprise us and pick the dishes, and that was 100% the right move. Every plate that came out was excellent. Everything felt balanced, intentional, and exciting without trying too hard. The drinks were also great. I ordered one of their house cocktails with sake and peach (I wish I remembered the name), and it was perfectly done, smooth, slightly sweet, super refreshing, and not overpowering. Definitely one of those drinks you could have more than one of. Between the atmosphere, the food, and the drinks, Neotokyo absolutely delivered. If you’re looking for a spot that feels unique and memorable while still serving genuinely amazing food, this is it. Will definitely be back.
Absolutely amazing. We arrived about 10 minutes after they opened and tables had already begun filling up. Our server was a very chill guy, very helpful, and he was a pleasure to have. I got the Tonkotsu ramen and it was was perfectly made. The noodles were perfectly firm and didn't get soggy as I ate. It was some of the best ramen I've had in North America. My friends also got the vegan ramen with the vegan meat add-on and enjoyed it a lot. The environment was also superb. Overall it was absolutely amazing and I would love to go again. Edit: Second time here. Just as amazing
Got there a bit before opening, and was lead right in. Had a nice tonkatsu ramen. Nicely balanced unlike the uber porky one I had in Tokyo:) Too much pork is that possible - lol. Staff was very nice. Nice vibe.
Wow, from having been to Japan a few months ago, they really were able to reproduce the Tokyo "food court" experience there. +1000 just for the atmosphere! I had the vegan miso ramen with extra impossible meat and spicy sauce. It was super tasty and can't wait to to back to try the other vegan option.
Excellent noodles here, will def come back
I’m waiting 20min to seat and they give my girlfriend broken glass
Fantastic bowl of ramen, great decor and vibes. Definitely worth a visit.
Great atmosphere and wonderful servers.
I had the truffle miso ramen and it was really good, rich and flavorful. The service was also great, especially the hostess (I think she was Latina?). She was kind, helpful, and managed the wait times really well. 3 stars because it was super disappointing to see that their payment terminal suggested tip amounts based on the total including taxes instead of the pre-tax subtotal. This is not legal in Quebec as of May 2025. Tips must be calculated on the price before taxes under Bill 72. It’s quite dishonest to not abide by that and I strongly encourage the restaurant to review and correct this practice.
My best friend and I visited this restaurant for supper, and we were impressed with the cyberpunk decor. We ordered the cucumber salad (4/5) and the spicy Karaage chicken (5/5) as sides, the Ice-Tea (5/5) and the beer mojito, the Tonkotsu ramen (3.5/5) and the TanTan ramen as main, and the cereal milk ice cream as dessert (4.5/5). The service was very sweet and efficient. Overall great experience!
cute little Japanese fusion restaurant however the food is a bit too salty
Good food. Nice staff. Cool decor.
Very neon punk decor with great service and food. I had the Tokyo ramen with garlic oil and it was definitely worth coming back from Vancouver for.
Everything's delicious!
