Frank was our waiter, some of the best service I’ve ever had. He really put his hear and soul into a solo rendition of “happy birthday”. Food is always incredible, especially the shrimp and chicken/sausage.

UPDATE 2/26 - The Kids Are Alright! We saw in a local magazine that there is new ownership - young ownership who worked in the restaurant with the previous owner and we wanted to see what these "young guns" are doing. Very impressive! The food is much the same as before, with some new wrinkles added. The kitchen is putting out excellent food, and there's an excitement you can feel, from the staff and in the vibe of the place. I'm looking forward to many meals and seeing how the place evolves. Congratulations and kudos! UPDATE April 2, 2023 - After our last visit, the owner reached out to me, and we talked about what happened. They handled it with total class and professionalism. My wife and I went back for dinner, and we had a wonderful experience. The food was great, which we knew from the first time there. The fact that Nena and Stephan did that meant everything. It's obvious that they care greatly about their restaurant and the guest's experience. We felt they went above expectations, and both of us can't wait to return next winter. To the entire staff - thanks and cheers. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We had two experiences at Nena. The first was excellent, my wife and I were able to get reservations at the bar and enjoyed the food and service very much. I'd give 4 stars for the overall experience the first time. That evening we saw there was an upcoming live music night, so the next day I made reservations for 4 people, as my son and his girlfriend would be joining us. 3 weeks later the evening arrives and we go for our reservation. When we got there we were told they don't have a reservation in my name. I showed them the email confirmation for the time and date, but it wasn't on their list. I understand that mistakes happen, that tables can be accidentally double-booked, etc. The disappointing thing was that we were told, 'sorry, we can't seat you'. There was no offer for another visit, maybe a complimentary dessert or glass of wine or something. Had an attempt been made to compensate in some small way for their problem, we would have left feeling much better. As it was, it left us with a bad feeling. I recommend the food here - it is quite good. I also recommend confirming any reservation with staff the day of, to avoid any problems.

This was our second time here. This place has become one of our go-tos for a romantic night out.
This was Jen’s and my second time there in a month. It’s sometimes hard to return to a place where you’ve had an amazing first meal and not have a reasonably high expectations, but ours were met and surpassed yet again. We tried 4 totally different dishes, each of which was beautifully-prepared and delectable. Met the owner, who is youthful, friendly and creative. Our favourite bartender Franks was there again. Dave the sommelier helped us pick a perfect Bordeaux to accompany our margret de canard. Dessert and specialty coffee was a beautiful finish to a wonderful dinner. We think 5 people chose to celebrate their birthdays at Nena’s while we were there!
Delicious and serious eats. Their wine selection was unique and amazing
Places were set at the spacious rough hewn bar, where we were regaled with bartender Frank’s extensive knowledge of mixology as he prepared house specialty cocktails including the pisco pisco, southern mule and espresso martini. The atmosphere was charming: rustic but modern; friendly but classy; apres-ski vibe, but equally suitable for a romantic evening. The sommelier was reliable, attentive and trustworthy, ensuring the perfect match. The food was authentic and delightful. Overall an excellent choice!
