From the second you sit at the counter, everything feels intentional: the calm atmosphere, the attention to detail, and the way each course is introduced makes you slow down and actually enjoy every bite. It’s not rushed at all, which I loved. The sushi itself is on another level. Each piece is crafted right in front of you, and you can really taste the quality of the fish. ✨ A refined, intimate experience that focuses on quality, precision, and letting the ingredients speak for themselves.
Reviews / Ratings for Nama Omakase + Sushi Restaurant
We had a wonderful time for the first Omakase service. The staff is very nice and the chef is super sweet. The people make the soul of a place, and this place has a lot of soul. Every course was great to excellent and the nigiri were on par with top establishment I've had the chance to visit in Tokyo, Osaka or Kyoto. This is not a gimmick, it's a proper Omakase. Will return, highly recommendable.
I had a phenomenal experience eating there. The duck was my personal favourite; it wasn’t too overwhelming on the palate and nicely paired with the raspberry sauce. The rice pudding was also very enjoyable. The taste profile was very subtle, but equally good. The texture on it was on point! The waiters made the experience even better, offering a very welcoming atmosphere to the customers. Every dishes were thoroughly explained and gave a nice insight on the source of the ingredients. Would highly recommend. Also the espresso martini, chefs kiss.
We were a group of 6 and had the $170 omakase course, and the experience was amazing from start to finish. The restaurant has a really nice, chill vibe with great music played at the perfect volume so we could actually have a conversation. Our waiter Felix and the manager Titouan were extremely nice and took the time to explain every dish and the optimal way to eat each one. Following their recommendation, we tried the TENMEI Junmai Hiire Orange Label sake, which had a very crisp taste and was incredibly smooth to sip on throughout the entire meal. Among the various dishes we were served, there were a few major highlights: the beef tartare was excellent on its own, but I highly recommend putting all the sides provided on the plate into the seaweed sheet for an unbelievable combination. The eggplant katsu was also delicious, especially when eaten simultaneously with the salad. We were served four different types of nigiri that were all unique in flavor and absolutely delicious. To top it all off, I had an espresso martini at the end of the course which went very well with the dessert. It was a fantastic meal with top-tier service.
Wonderful experience with the Omakase special. Each bite was delightful, the sushi was so fresh, the pacing and amount of food was perfect. Cocktails and sake were also wonderful. As usual, the service was very personal and attentive. Brought my son for his first omakase and we both loved our experience, thank you!
My experience at Nama Omakase was memorable. The cold starters were fresh and savory, and the staff took the time to explain the ingredients behind every bite. The service was friendly and welcoming, making it clear that immense time are poured into each dish. I will definitely be back!
Absolutely fantastic! Had the omakase experience and it was fabulous! Great food and great service. Had a girls night and absolutely enjoyed ourselves!
Tried the Omakase experience and it was really good. The food is in high quality and it tastes really good. Definitely will come back for either the Omakase experience or items on the menu.
It was my first visit, and I went with the omakase option, everything was wonderful. I left completely satisfied with no complaints. The espresso martini was also delightful !
Very Good
Amazing dining experience with amazing workers to back it up! They truly make your common week night into an unforgetable one.
We took the 100$ omakase menu for 2 people, and we were quite disappointed by it. The dishes were good (the eggplant was amazing), but the fish had nothing special and was pretty tasteless. We were told that the difference between the 100$ and 135$ menu was the makis so we were fine not to have them. However the portions were pretty small and we were also quite surprised that for this price we had to share one and only one main dish. We ended up finishing the course hungry and ordering the makis on the side (36$ for 6 makis, I would advise you to not take them because they were not worth it). On the other side the service was exceptional! We were well taken care of!! Restaurant was pretty noisy, and you could have participated in the discussion of the table behind us. Overall the food was good, but the quality and the quantities are absolutely not justifying the price.
We ordered all the appetizers on the menu and drank espresso martinis and everything was amazing! The service provided by Felix was impeccable, would definitely go again!
The new manager was a delight just like the food and experience. He was most certainly the MVP. He made sure my hubby’s bday was unforgettable and went the extra mile with even the smallest details and gave us top notch recommendation for everything. The chef even came to greet us, it was such a lovely surprise. We picked the $135 omakase and honestly, the $100 would have been more than enough. Every dish was well thought of and the sushi was to die for. We can’t wait to go back and try the special 12 course omakase experience at the bar.
tried the omakase. hot and miss on the different plates. some are too complicated for no reason. could be so much better if simplified a little. less is more sometimes. good ambiance and excellent service. a bit over priced for what you get.
Everything was amazing, the staff is super friendly! We had such a fun time I totally recommand this spot!! Cozy and sexy vibes
Omasake was good and fresh! We enjoyed the experience and the service was good.
We dined at Nama Omakase with high expectations, given its positioning as an upscale omakase restaurant. Unfortunately, the experience fell short in several important ways, especially at this price point. During the meal, we encountered a bone in the Nama Maki ($55 before tax). In a restaurant of this caliber, proper fish preparation is non-negotiable. This is not a minor oversight but a fundamental error that raises concerns about quality control and attention to detail. What was more disappointing was how this was handled. When we informed the waitress clearing our plates, she responded that she would let the chef know, but no one followed up with us afterward. There was no acknowledgment, apology, or attempt to address the issue during the meal. Later, when another server asked about our experience while we were paying, we raised it again and were simply thanked for the feedback, again, with no real ownership or resolution. We had also noted in our reservation that we were celebrating my husband’s birthday, but this was completely overlooked. We had to remind the staff ourselves near the end of the meal, which defeats the purpose of providing that information in advance. For a restaurant that emphasizes experience, this lack of attentiveness is disappointing. (I now noticed this has happened to many other diners who shared their disappointment in their review) In terms of the food, while some dishes showed creativity, there were inconsistencies. For example, one piece of the duck was noticeably tough and difficult to chew, lacking the tenderness expected from a properly prepared dish, especially in a fine dining setting. To add to this, we discovered that an 18% gratuity was automatically applied because part of the bill was paid using a gift card. This was not disclosed anywhere on the Costco purchase page, nor was it communicated by the restaurant beforehand. While we would have willingly tipped 20% for good service, imposing a gratuity without transparency, especially tied to the method of payment, is not acceptable. We paid $525.25 for two adults (without drinks). At this level, guests expect not just excellent food, but polished service, consistency, and accountability when things go wrong. While the restaurant shows potential, the overall experience was undermined by these lapses. For a premium omakase restaurant, both execution and service need to be held to a much higher standard. P/S: The first dish of Hokkaido Scallops was exquisite IMHO.
Tried the Omakase menu to celebrate my friend’s birthday. They even brought a little extra dessert for her. It was a delicious and fun experience where each service was explained by the chef directly. We loved it :) Here’s 3 of my favorite bites (but all of them were good!)
Had an amazing experience with my two young ladies. Thank you for making a common evening together something unforgettable.
We sat at the Chef’s counter last night and it was truly a lovely experience filled with some amazing flavors. Splurge for the add-ons, they are worth it. I highly recommend this experience with the sake pairing for a special occasion. The ambiance in the place was also very nice. The staff was friendly and courteous and just wanted us to have a great time. Book in advance and you will not be disappointed!
I had the pleasure of dining at Nama this evening for their Omakase experience. From beginning to end, the service and food is incredible. The staff and chef ensure you enjoy every part of the evening. Chef GaCong clearly loves what he does because he put so much attention into every dish. He was a delight to chat with. If you ever want to celebrate an event or simply enjoy a new experience, I strongly recommend Nama.
Food was good, chef was friendly and helpful. Watch out for bottle water scam. Charge ridiculous amount for still without warning. Not cool guys
What a wonderful evening. Service was incredible, food was delicious. Titouan was incredible
Wow! Recently tried their limited $98 omakase for March and I loved every single bite. The quality improves every time I visit, I remember I didn't love the rice last year but now it was great. Also the value for the limited omakase is really good for the price and what you get: 12 amazing courses! Also it's not pretentious and chef Gacong really takes care of you and explains everything. I would highly recommend to anyone who appreciates quality sushi!
