The taco meat was hard to chew, corn tortilla was served cold. The staff wasn’t attentive enough and had to ask for water because it wasn’t offered and also for refills. Food and bottled sodas took over 30 minutes to be served. Food is expensive and not really as good or authentic(27 dollars for a machete) and it isn’t filler either. This place is definitely in my “do not go” list. Really disappointed.

The food was decent, but nowhere near worth the price. The meat itself was good, but the corn tortillas were undercooked and drenched in oil. Authentic shouldn’t equate to overpriced - plenty of restaurants in the area offer better quality for less The service was also disappointing, we had to wait nearly 20 minutes just to receive bottled drinks. This place used to be great, but after the recent renovations and name change, the quality seems to have gone downhill. To put the pricing into perspective, we ordered one machete, one singular taco, a bag of chips, and an apple juice, and the total came out to $66, which is extremely overpriced for what we received. Cocktails aren’t fully rimmed, which is crazy for charging $2-3 higher than local establishments

Hola Daniel, gracias por visitarnos. Entendemos que mencionaron que venían a probar el lugar y agradecemos que se hayan dado el tiempo de hacerlo. Queremos aclarar que todos nuestros precios están claramente publicados en el menú antes de ordenar. En su caso, el total corresponde a lo que se pidió: un machete de asada, un machete de carnitas, un taco de asada, chips importadas Rancheritos Grande y una bebida de manzana. Respecto al tiempo de espera, nuestra comida se prepara fresca al momento. Además, hubo un momento en el que se estuvo esperando a que llegara la persona que los acompañaba antes de continuar con el servicio. También nos gustaría mencionar que al finalizar su comida se le preguntó amablemente cómo había estado su experiencia y en ese momento los comentarios fueron positivos. Por eso nos sorprende leer ahora que su experiencia no fue la esperada, ya que siempre estamos dispuestos a escuchar y resolver cualquier situación en el momento. Nuestro objetivo siempre es ofrecer comida auténtica, buen servicio y una experiencia agradable para todos nuestros clientes. Agradecemos sus comentarios.

Such a lovely spot! The food was fresh and full of flavor, and the presentation was beautiful. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and the staff were so kind and attentive. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Such a cute resto! The lady that served us last week super late was super funny and just made it so fun! It smells AMAZING just walking in, i definitely recommend the birria tacos. Will be coming back to have them again, now my go-to.

If you're looking for authentic tasting tacos and atmosphere , this is THE place! The tacos are absolutely phenomenal not to mention the sauces that come with them, so flavourful and offered with different degrees of spicyness. I had the al pastor quesadilla, which was honestly one of the best tacos I've ever had! The owner was very welcoming and helpful with the menu choices. On top of that they serve alcohol including cocktails pitchers. We will definitely come back for more.

First of all, the food is amazing. It's very tasty, the three sauces they give are amazing and the rice drink is really good. The only reason I do not give this place all the stars is that it's terribly slow. It took us 1h30, from ordering to having our food in front of us. It looks like a fast food joint with high end price. Edit: my review is now 1 star because this business does not take any criticism and spend time on their camera instead of making food.

Thank you for your comment. We would like to clarify two important points for those reading this review: The wait time was not one hour or longer. After reviewing security cameras and internal records, the actual preparation time was 37 minutes, during peak hours, with the restaurant completely full and without a reservation. Regarding pricing: The perception of something being “expensive” is subjective. In this case, the order included four quesadillas with different proteins (beef tongue, carnitas, al pastor, and huitlacoche), as well as one horchata. This was not a basic or single-item order, but multiple dishes prepared to order, using handmade tortillas and traditional processes. Morena Mía is a traditional Mexican taquería, operated as taquerías are in Mexico: guests order at the counter, leave their name, and are called when their food is ready. We are not fast food, nor do we use processed products; our cooking requires time, technique, and slow preparations. We understand that this model is not for everyone. Called to ask some questions and the fact they only spoke Spanish told me the food was good and i wasnt wrong im surprised. Took the tacos and the best toppings so far is the birria de pichanha My brother took the burrito and he loved it to with the sauces I will come back:)
