The food was amazing, very big portions and good flavours. I have the Bandejas Paisa and my partner had the quesadilla. Both had generous portions, especially the Bandejas Paisa, and tasted phenomenal. The staff were very friendly. The atmosphere is inviting and very Colombian. Would absolutely recommend. Apparently they do brunch, which is next on the list to try.

I recently visited this Colombian restaurant under its new ownership, and it was fantastic! The new menu is full of amazing options, the chicharrones were fresh and delicious, the yuca was perfectly cryspi and the flavors truly stood out. They also offer vegetarian options, which is a great plus, along with plantains and a phenomenal variety of dishes. It really felt like something that was missing: An authentic Colombian restaurant with real flavor, and now we finally have it! The place is clean, well-organized, and has a very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. One small suggestion: it would be great to have the menu available in English as well. Since we’re in Canada, and even in Gatineau, it would help reach more customers. Highly recommended! 🇨🇴✨

Badly microwaved sancocho… lukewarm with thick texture that leads me to believe it’s because it’s been reheated so much that the potatoes overcooked and fell apart

Absolutely loved Mekatos! So many options, heaps to have whether you're coming for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Also, great vibes and super nice people. We live super close and need to come back asap!

When we walked in, there was only one server and no one to sit us for ten minutes. It took us another ten minutes to order. Once ordered, I got my first drink, a smoothie, 30 minutes later. After 45 minutes, I received my 1 empanada. I ordered beef but received chicken. My wife's vanilla latte never came, and our two arepas finally came after an hour and ten minutes. The filling of the arepa was nice and hot, but the filling was cold. The food wasn't the main issue; it was the long wait.
