I like the ambiance and the atmosphere here, very comfortable to eat and chit chat. The service and the food are all very great. Price is compatible with the quality and the portions are HUGE, we have 4 dishes for 2 people and were so full after all. Would recommend to everyone, this is my fav place to eat so far in Montréal! 😍

Delicious!! :D
Been here a couple times already and it's always an excellent experience. The food is exciting, the staff are engaging, and the playlist is fire. Great place to get a group together for a fun night (and family friendly too!)
Everything here is amazing!
Fantastic food, posh atmosphere but for the everyday person also. Unique menu items. Service was very slow but when it was busy. Later as it got quieter the service was quicker and more attentive. Had very good specialty shot drink recommended by our waiter from France. Not rushed by staff to finish and leave, took our time to chat.
My wife and I visited McKiernan many times since they opened, and the experience has been consistently excellent. Whether it’s a date night, a gathering with friends, or a casual bite with a buddy at the bar tonight, the quality never misses. The food is always outstanding, the desserts are exceptional, and the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between lively and comfortable. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Highly recommend this place truly stands out for its consistency and overall experience.
Hidden gem of a restaurant. I went today with a friend and everything was delicious. The Brussels sprouts were incredible and an absolute must-order. We also had the trout and the chicken, both were excellent, but the chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. For dessert, we had the lemon pie, which was amazing. They also have a great selection of filled beignets that are definitely worth trying. What stood out the most was the service. The staff was warm, attentive, patient, and happy to answer questions. Great food, great service, great experience. I’ll definitely be back!
I visited for happy hour/ dinner time with some friends. Nice space, efficient staff and interesting menu. Food was good and service as well. I think it's a good location and it's definitely a gem for the neighborhood if you are looking for a polished, old feel vibe with a great experience.
Overall great experience, food was simple but good. Service was friendly.
That $55 steak pls delete it.
Nice environnement and good options. The Side dishes are not generous but tasty!
Pricey for mediocre chicken. Limited sides.
Beautiful place. Really good food. A bit pricey. Excellent waiters. Great desserts, especially their famous homemade donuts and their lemon and meringue pies. The only downside is the noise level due to their high ceilings. And more lights shoud be added in the staircase. Another thing which I found really surprising is that now dogs are accepted. And I don't think that I approve because of the texture of the floors. They are beautiful old wooden varnished (and mostly unvarnished) planks and if a dog had an accident there, it would really be hard to clean it up properly because of the cracks between the planks. I naturally understand for guide dogs.
Had the family dinner menu and every dish was delicious! My favourites were the Brussels sprouts and the steak—both were cooked perfectly and full of flavour. It’s a fantastic menu for big gatherings, with something everyone can enjoy. Highly recommend for group dining!
Had a great dinner here while visiting from Massachusetts. Everyone seemed to really enjoy working there. The food was delicious- especially the chicken and the donuts. One of the best Boston Crème I’ve had, even though we’re from the Boston area! Special shout out to our busser, Charles, who was extremely attentive to us, the rest of the patrons, and his coworkers. I noticed him always helping everyone on the team out, checking in on us and others, being quick and efficient, and having a kind and personable attitude. He was very interactive with my (shy) three year old, bringing out her first “bonjour” on our trip!
Nice service and tasty food, I do recommend 👌
Was absolutely fabulous and on top of it the server Dimitri went above and beyond to make our experience even better will definitely be coming back
4$ tea and coffee served in an espresso cup is wild
Extremely disappointed with the experience here, especially considering the 'high-end' branding. Our group was forced onto a set menu for no apparent reason, which felt like a blatant move to impose a mandatory 18% gratuity. The service was nowhere near that level. We were left waiting for 15+ minutes at a time for our waitress and eventually had to track down other staff members ourselves just to get basic attention. Paying a premium tip for service that was essentially non-existent is unacceptable. Good atmosphere , but the management and service logic are completely off the mark
Service is nice and pleasant but somewhat slow. I would have still given 5 stars but the food was so underwhelming. Chicken wasn't bad but quite dry and the sauce was ok at best. Buttery and low on flavor. The ribs are the reason I am commenting here. Worst i've ever had. Felt like cardboard. The brussel sprouts were absolutely amazing, I'll give them that... Everything else was bland and overall not great. Would be ok at half the price.
Staff is nice 👍 That being said, I had a few issues with my experience: When crowded, due to the high ceiling, large open space, it becomes difficult to hear each other. Furthermore, the menu is misleading, take for example the schnitzel option, not much description about what it is, but when served, there's a sunny-side up egg on top of it and a few smoked anchovies on top of it (I strongly dislike anchovies and would have never picked this item having known) It is rare that I find menus like this but comon! Let's stop menus with hidden items. This is not a game, the menu should properly describe what you're getting, don't give it a silly name, just describe the ingredients please!
This resto is an hidden gem. Everything I tasted was amazing. Their chicken and schnitzel are Incredibles. The secret is their sauces. And the desserts, you will want to bring some at home
Loooove the donuts, food and decor. Huge windows also add to the ambiance. The Parker House rolls are incredible.
Amazing food! Sauces are flavourful and nicely done. The rotisserie chicken and donuts are a must. The menu cold sell the food better, first time was difficult to decide the order because I didn't know the dish ingredients.
The all you can eat Brunch was fabulous!!! The service was very slow but , the staff were very helpful and gracious. P.S. they
