Two days ago, I went to McDonald’s for breakfast. I ordered the new breakfast Burger, another burger, and a French Vanilla coffee. The coffee was absolutely terrible — but the worst was yet to come. About an hour and a half later, maybe two, I started feeling sick. It began with a stomach ache, followed by nausea. Throughout the day, about 5 times, I had frequent burping and multiple trips to the bathroom. The next day, I felt a little better, but I was still unwell the entire day. On the third day, I finally started to recover. I hadn’t eaten anything before going to McDonald’s that day, and I could barely eat for the next three days after that. I’m not a fan of McDonald’s in general and only go there occasionally, but after this experience, I will never go back.

I had a disappointing experience during my visit today. After placing my order, I noticed my tray sitting there for nearly 20 minutes while other customers were being served. Despite waiting patiently, my order was never handed to me. When I approached the counter to request a cancellation, I was initially told that it wasn’t possible. Communication was also a bit challenging, as the staff seemed to struggle with English, though they were able to understand French to some extent. I explained my situation and mentioned that I would have to file a complaint if it couldn’t be resolved. Eventually, I picked up my tray myself and realized the coffee was incorrect. The staff did replace it, but the overall process felt disorganized. To add to the frustration, there were no small cups available for ketchup, which made things inconvenient. After some back and forth, they finally agreed to cancel my order, but even that took an additional 5 minutes. Moreover, I was returned wrong amount. I was charged 9.43 USD. But, I was returned 9.37 USD. Where is my 0.06 USD ?? I understand that everyone can have an off day, and I don’t usually like leaving negative reviews. However, the lack of organization, communication issues, and delays made this experience quite frustrating. I hope improvements can be made to provide better service in the future. Thanks.

They thankfully restricted then access to the drink dispenser. No more noisy loitering. A win for everyone that pays...

It takes less time to get the order at a restaurant than at this place...waiting 20 minutes and no sign for my order. Got home, the cheeseburger had no cheese, no ketchup, no pickles ,no mustard.

Horribly long drive through service. It is as if the staff can only handle one burger at a time. They have made several mistakes on my orders over time and the nonchalant attitude is now standard. One burger and fries takes over 5 minutes….extremely rotten service. Whoever the owner and managers are should go take a course on management and service. The brand should be ashamed of what it has become.

I had a very frustrating experience with an employee at this McDonald’s being unnecessarily rude. The front was closed for customers due to some kind of work, so I tried walking through the drive-through which was still open on the app. I don't make a habit of this, but I did pick up an order this way from Tim Horton's once during the pandemic and had no issue. I asked an employee at the first window if I could place an online order on the app and pick it up there, showing him my phone. He seemed to be agreeable to that, so I did it and then heard a female employee calling out fom the next window. The female employee was immediately very exasperated with me before I had even said anything. I told her the employee at the other window had indicated I could order and I had done so. She then told me I couldn’t pick up my order there without a car, and asked me where my car was. The comment felt a little weird but I might be reading into it. I understand now that McDonalds has a policy against walking through the drive-thru but I didn't know prior to being told this. At this point I had no idea how to cancel or refund my order as I had already placed it. I asked the female employee and she said she didn't know, wouldn't be able to help me, and told me I had to get out of the drive-thru lane and was making it clear she wouldn't speak with me further. There was no one else I could speak to as only the drive thru was open. I understand McDonalds may have a policy against serving anyone not in a vehicle in the drive thru, but having already placed an order, as a customer I had every right to some kind of conversation or help with cancelling my order whether it was standing there at the window, offering to phone me, or letting me come inside to speak. There was nothing stopping her speaking with someone else in the restaurant to make sure the order was cancelled. Instead I was left standing out in the snow trying to figure out what to do, and my order was marked completed (not cancelled). I ended up having to call Mcdonald's corporate, and they offered me points which for me was a good enough resolution. I understand that this employee probably had to deal with a number of people doing the same as me at the drivethrough, but there was no need to immediately be heated and unwilling to try and solve my problem. I was polite throughout and that very much wasn't reciprocated.
