Today I visited the McDonald’s located at 430 Grand Boulevard, L’Île-Perrot, J7V 4X2, and I had a very disappointing experience with both customer service and management. I ordered a French Vanilla coffee and paid for it, but after waiting around 10 minutes, employees told me the machine was broken and they could not make the drink. Instead of immediately offering a refund, they told me they could not refund my money and suggested I buy a sandwich instead. This is unacceptable because customers should not be forced to purchase something else when the restaurant cannot provide the item they paid for. What made the situation worse was the way I was treated. I repeatedly asked to speak with the manager, Luka, but he avoided coming to speak with me directly and sent employees to deal with the situation instead. I waited almost 30 minutes in total and still did not receive proper customer service or respect. Some employees were also rude and used inappropriate language toward me. This experience was extremely frustrating and humiliating. Customers deserve honesty, respect, and proper service, especially when the restaurant makes a mistake. Management should take responsibility instead of hiding from customers and avoiding complaints.
