Food was not good. There is way too much going on in the menu. They do canadian, caribbean, italian, mexican but it tastes like nothing in the end. Just a waste of time and money.

The 85$ per person -with tax and tip- set meal is an insult to customers. One of the dishes is 1/5th of a lettuce with a sauce that tastes nothing like caesar, another is raw ground beef that only tastes like the sauce, a sad bite of tuna tartare befallen the same fate, and a chicken slider. A SINGLE CHICKEN SLIDER IN AN 85$ SET MEAL. If it was good, we might have accepted it. But it was, for unknown reasons, terribly sweet, textureless and soft, and somehow worse than mcdonalds. And that is supposed to be their star dish? How they charge you 85$ for the quantity and quality of food they provide is not something you can comprehend. Does the setting make up for it? Well, it looks like a dingy bar. Truly the most pretentious restaurant that doesnt come close to whatever they are pretending to be. Do yourself a favor and go to the super C across the street. Fitting restaurant name for what they serve.
Very disappointing experience. We had a reservation, but were refused entry because we had our 3 month old baby with us. There is nothing on their website stating that babies are not allowed. A newborn is not disruptive, and this policy should be clearly mentioned in advance. Turning customers away at the door is unprofessional and inconvenient.
Great food & exceptional cocktails. Friendly service and a chill yet sophisticated vibe. Will return!
Still dreaming of this meal. My partner and I went to Mauvais Garçon for our anniversary and enjoyed the “Menu Experience” which was a 7 course meal of some incredible dishes. We ordered a few extra as well because we like to try things. A fancier version of comfort food - right up our alley. The service was also impeccable and the vibes were great. Slide 1: Caesar Salad house dressing, parmesan chips, herbed croutons. 10/10 probably our fav of the night but it’s hard to choose. Slide 2: Burrata - basil-arugula hummus, roasted chickpeas, pomegranate, zaatar, confit tomato relish. Again 10/10. We inhaled this. Slide 3: Beef Tartar - ‘jerk’ aioli, grilled scallion, plantain chips. I never tried beef tartar before and was nervous to because I don’t typically eat a lot of red meat. I appreciated the flavours but Jason enjoyed this one a lot more. 8/10. Slide 4: Tuna tartar - compressed watermelon, sesame, togarashi, soy, fried wonton. 9/10!! Loved the watermelon tuna combo and flavours. Slide 5: Popcorn chicken - garlic, maple & dijon glazed, carrot, cucumber, chipotle mayo. This was not part of the “Menu Experience” but we wanted to try it - 10/10. Incredible. Our eyes were rolling behind our head. Slide 6: Fried Pierogi - potato, caramelized onions, cheddar, beer-braised cabbage, dill yogurt. 8/10. I really enjoyed this one but Jason felt there was too much dill (he’s also not a huge dill fan where I am). Melt in your mouth delicious. Slide 7: Chicken Sliders and Truffle Fries - buffalo fried chicken, slaw, ranch, chipotle mayo. 10/10 another favourite. Chicken melts in your mouth. I’m usually not big on buffalo but I really enjoyed this. The fries were amazing too. Slide 8: Cookies and cream. Need I say more? 10/10. They also have a vegetarian menu too fyi! Thanks Mauvais Garçons for a wonderful experience!!
Delicious!
They serve the tastiest food and best service. The caesar, chicken sliders and fries are unbeatable. Discovered them through the 6 course spectra menu.
Hark! The victuals at Mauvais Garçon sang like angels, but the bill was a devil’s curse! I entered this den of "Bad Boys" expecting a $33 Spectra deal, only to be played the fool for $66. I stood there, a doting simpleton, pointing at the "mistake" only to realize the joke was upon me: 'tis a total sham! This Spectra deal is utter garbage; do not be fooled by such a siren's song, for thou art getting no deal at all! They charged double for what was essentially one man's dinner in a fancy trench coat. For a king’s ransom, these knaves presented but a pittance: two palm-sized sliders, a single portion of fries, and two lonely pierogies to share. When the hour of sweetness arrived, they served but a single dessert for two grown souls to fight over like common crows! To pay twice the gold for a single plate’s shadow makes me the babbling zany and them the master thieves. The food is a delight, but the experience is a wicked swindle. A plague o' both your kitchen and your crooked scales! One star for this delicious robbery.
We had the valentines day fixed menu (with drinks) and everything was incredible. Amazing for sharing and tasting a bit of everything. So good ! We were so full. Service was great. Atmosphere was beautiful. Cannot wait to come again
We had a great time! Tapas were delicious 😋 thank you!
Hip place where young people dine. Nonetheless, the service and food were good. They serve to-be-shared tapas. Many of dishes have a twist to traditional dish. Not all the dishes work (e.g., gnocchis need work: the potato chips add too much salt and don’t accentuate or cut the cheesy flavours). Other dishes had a great balance between sweet, salt, fat, and acids. Would return!
Great price for the vegetarian experience menu, was $45 per person.
