Waiter came with the bill we paid and then asked for a tip and after 10min of arguing for a tip me and my friends gave 5$ each and then the owner came and started insulting us I do not recommend
Reviews / Ratings for Matsuno Sushi Fusion
Food was ok, not the greatest but also not bad. Minimum 17% tips is expected.
I rarely write reviews, but our experience here for family’s diner was so appalling that I feel the need to warn others. We used to visit this restaurant years ago and it was ok but it has clearly gone downhill in both quality and basic human decency. We arrived as a group with two small children (a toddler and a baby). They squeezed us into a tiny, cramped table. When I politely asked if we could move to a larger table to accommodate the kids and high chairs, the staff member immediately became defensive and aggressive. He snapped at me, saying, "You have no reservation, so no place for you," in an incredibly rude and condescending tone. The service remained "minimal" at best throughout the meal, and the sushi which used to be fresh was completely tasteless and disappointing. The absolute breaking point, however, was the "low-class" behavior at the end of the night. After spending $200, we decided to leave a $20 tip (10%) because the service was so poor. As my husband was manually entering the tip on the machine, the staff member literally snatched the receipt out of his hand. He then had the audacity to shout in front of other customers that we "needed" to pay at least 17%. To be publicly harassed and pressured for a high tip after being treated like a nuisance all night is beyond degrading. It was financial bullying and completely unprofessional. If you want to be treated with respect and eat quality food, do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. We will never be back.
I mean, it used to be good, we went back after couple years now it’s just bad Very bad management, food is just mediocre (I can find way better sushi’s with half the price), and the most important part is thier service is bad, right after you pay, they do “TIP Policing” right in front of you, I paid %10 tip (I don’t have to tip btw) just because I’m empathetic? But then the service guy was pointing to the receipt be like “it’s written that you need to pay at least %17”, and the worst part is that the guy keep arguing that I should pay %17 like bro, come on, you just did your job, deliver the food to my table and that was it, u don’t pour me water u didn’t do anything else u literally just deliver the food, that was your job and you have the audacity to demand %17 tip, I told the guy to tell your boss to increase the wage instead of begging for tips. I’m sorry but this is no way of doing business to keep it going, not for me and people around me at least. Do better
amazing
Food was ok nothing special . Food ordering was super slow and missed items. Was told they might be backed up but had to ask again . Won’t be going back as my expectations for service was not there . I ate alone so my order was not difficult and simple like sashimi .
The mango slush was delicious. We all were full. The sushi was delicious .
Very busy place but the service is very quick
By far the most quick sushi service ever 🫶🏻
Always good but try to avoid going there in big days as saint Valentin or else they get busy and quality is not perfect as any other day! Staff friendly also
This all-you-can-eat sushi spot is 100% worth the drive — even with gas prices these days 😅 Fresh, delicious, and always hits the spot. Easily my favorite AYCE sushi place. If you love sushi, you need to try this one 🍣🔥
This is a fun all‑you‑can‑eat spot with a great atmosphere. Once you’re seated, the service is genuinely excellent — attentive, fast, and friendly. The only downside is the long wait to get in, which can be frustrating. The food overall is enjoyable. My favourites were the Sashimi Doritos (a unique presentation with avocado that really stands out), the Rib‑eye, and the Sunrise Roll. These dishes were consistently well‑prepared and worth ordering. I wouldn’t recommend the green tea ice cream — it fell flat for me. The strawberry or mango options are much better choices. One thing I appreciated is how quickly the dishes come out. Even with the two‑hour table limit, you never feel rushed or worried about timing.
That was all good 💯
I never imagined a restaurant in Canada could have such a rude and unethical manager. I absolutely do not recommend anyone visit this place.
Very bad customer service, wait line was 1 hour, they made us wait for 2 hours
The sushi !!! Fish are fresh delicious and delicious!!!
Quick service and great food!
Food is great, no issues with service. Food comes really quick once you order it usually. Only downside is there's usually a wait, recommend making a reservation ahead of time.
My daughter ate zucchini tempura and found it tasted "earthy" . When she took off the tempura batter, the zucchini was covered in mold.
Best sushi
For an all-you-can-eat sushi place, the service is excellent. They paid special attention to help us with our child. Really impressed with how kind the staff was.
No plates? No problem! I had a fantastic meal here recently, and even though they were having some drama with their dishwasher (shoutout to the staff for powering through!), it didn't slow them down one bit. They’re currently serving on paper plates, but honestly? The food is so incredible that nobody in the building seemed to care. Why you should go: • The Food: Absolutely top-tier. When the flavors are this good, the presentation on a paper plate doesn't matter. • The Atmosphere: The place was completely full, which tells you everything you need to know about how much people love this spot. • The Service: Despite the kitchen hiccups, the service was great and super friendly. They handled the situation with total grace. It’s rare to find a place where the food is so good it outshines a technical malfunction. If you're in the West Island, don't let the "disposable" setup deter you—it’s 100% worth it.
Really packed. Lots of guests without reservations. Beware of the 2 hour limit. Time starts with your first order.
Never again, had food poisoning 😫
I would say it's your typical tasty ayce sushi place. It's a great place to munch on lots of sushi.
