I personally love the food from this place, but only to realize if you tip them they don’t tip their waiters the tip goes to the owner and secondly they charge 0.30 cents for the bag if you are ordering takeout. Next time I will probably bring my own grocery bag and IF I m ever going to order from this place.

Hello, We are glad that you enjoy our food. However, there seems to be a misunderstanding and we would like to know how you came to this conclusion concerning our waiters' tips. Waiters will always receive tips at any restaurant as they have the right to do so. This includes the waiters at our restaurant who all receive tips. We do not know how you got this misinformation but please, if you have any concerns like these, kindly report it in person at the counter and we will resolve any confusion before it turns into misinformation. If anything, you can directly speak with the waiters themselves regarding any questions about their tips. Now, about us charging for the takeout bags. We originally never charged for bags since we opened, but ever since the government banned plastic bags, we had to switch to paper bags which are very costly. Many restaurants and stores in general have then been charging customers very lightly due to them being quite expensive for business owners. We hope this clears up any confusion. If you still have any concerns, please contact us. Thank you.

Indian food has become our go to. When we can't decide on a restaurant for a Saturday night, Indian food rarely disappoints. Friends, who live in the West Island recommended this place so we double dated to give it a try. Because the menu was so extensive it took us a few minutes to figure out what we wanted to order. We decided to share, between the 4 of us, the Samosa Chaat with Chick Peas. The 2 vegetable samosas were cut into 6 pieces and covered in a chicken pea curry. This was not a spicy dish and is very filling. Delicious! Then we ordered, a Chicken 65, the Chili Garlic Chicken, a plain Naan and a rice. The Chicken 65 was a nice size plate of breaded tender mortals of chicken with curry leaves, ginger, garlic and mustard seeds mixed into a red sticky sauce. Very Good! The Chili Garlic Chicken is found on the Indian Chinese portion of their menu. Why not try something different. It wasn't. It was the same small cut up pieces of chicken but with a garlic, chili, onion and green pepper sauce. A cut up basket of Naan and fluffy basmati rice followed. Being the first time we're eating here, we were pleasantly surprised. The food was loaded with flavor, and served hot. The service could have been quicker and more attentive. Would we ever go back? For sure.

Having worked with Chef Anil in the past, including during his time at Karma, I was excited to see him open his own place—and it absolutely delivers. He brings the same refined, authentic, high-end approach he was known for, but in a setting that’s far more accessible without sacrificing quality. The flavors are bold, layered, and genuinely transportive—some dishes keep taking you straight back to Mumbai. This is top-notch Indian cuisine done right: thoughtful, balanced, and deeply authentic. A must-try for anyone who truly loves Indian food.

This is my favorite Indian cuisine spot in the West Island and all over Montreal. What I love about it is the consistency of the great food they serve and the friendliness of the staff. Last night we were a group of 12 and everyone loved the food, the service, and the affordability of all the authentic dishes we ordered.

I visited Masala Art, Dollard-des-Ormeaux last night with my wife for dinner, and the experience was extremely disappointing. We waited 15-20 minutes at the reception, but no one came to attend us. When I politely asked staff if we could be seated, the response was rude and dismissive-we were simply told to "wait" without any explanation or courtesy. Eventually, we had no choice but to leave and go to another restaurant. Unfortunately, this was not the first time this has happened. I experienced the same behavior during a previous visit, which shows a clear lack of hospitality and customer service. Good food alone is not enough if customers are treated this way. Hospitality and respect are basic expectations, and sadly, this restaurant completely failed in that regard. Restaurants survive because of customers. Treating people this way is unacceptable. Zero hospitality, zero professionalism, and terrible service. We left and took our business elsewhere. Rating - 0
