I tried once and would like to say you should try their foods, so yummy, feel homemade food and real Persian tastes. Thanks
Reviews / Ratings for Maman Sady Restaurant
With due respect, this review is based solely on my first experience at this restaurant. Unfortunately, the quality of service and the way customers were received and attended to were not satisfactory, and there were noticeable shortcomings in the way the food was served. Considering that in many Iranian restaurants offering complimentary bread, butter, and tea is considered part of the hospitality culture, the absence of these items was notable. Additionally, the pricing did not seem consistent with the quality and level of service provided. For example, charging $35 for Ghormeh Sabzi does not appear reasonable in my view.
Great food. Persian and halal. One of the best in Montreal. A bunch of persian ladies working there so you know the food will be good.
We are visiting from Miami, Florida, and stop by for some good Persian cuisine. The place was nicely decorated , a great ambience and lots of small thoughtful touches. The food was absolutely amazing and the service and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We had a lamb shank and the vaziri combo which again were both outstanding and combination platter for the appetizers were just as good. Highly recommended this place to anyone visiting
Today I grabbed a sangak and took it to Maman Sadi Restaurant. I asked them to put it under the kebabs — and wow… you guys seriously missed out! With fresh basil and onions, that combo was next level.Big thanks to the whole team — everyone’s super friendly and polite, and they really know what they’re doing. And the kebabs? Absolutely top-notch.
The food was good, but unfortunately the service was slow and unprofessional.I was there on Saturday with a group of seven people. The appetizers were fine, but at first they didn’t bring any plates or spoons. After we asked, they brought plates for only four people. When we reminded them again, they came back after a long delay with only two more plates and some spoons, and in the end one person still didn’t have a plate. When the main dishes were served, they didn’t know which dish belonged to whom, and their attitude was not appropriate. (It was not a busy day.)I hope this issue will be addressed and the service improves.
My friend and I tried the lamp shank, Barg, Kashke bademjan and sholezard. The food and the vibe were good. The waitress was really nice and welcoming but she said the main dish comes with soup but she didn’t bring any (Maybe I am wrong or she just forgot). I wish they were serving Sangak instead of pita. Also I wish the Barg was less salty and more juicy. I really recommend that they put better photos on their menu and more descriptions and details as it sounds confusing for non-Iranians. I recommend this place and will try again. But I hope in my next visit they don’t forget the soup.
Delicious! Great service too.
We were seated quickly after arriving but on a busy Saturday night on Valentine's day, please ensure to have enough staff to cover all your tables. We had to wait a long time to receive menus and never received water until we were almost finished eating Despite a busy night, the food was very good. We had the koobideh and saffron chicken but it was not as hot temperature wise as I would've liked. Consider plating the protein and the rice together so it doesn't crowd the table and can be brought out all at once.
A great family owned shop with amazing fresh food. They have amazing kebabs and they have a wide price range for their meats. There’s a reason why this place has such good rating.
Ordered via Uber, Maman Sady was really tasty and had that authentic flavor. It’s a bit above the usual price range in my opinion, but you can definitely tell in the quality of the rice, the saffron flavor, and the meat they use. The dish I ordered (Gheimeh nesar) would be best accompanied by a side like plain yogurt or their garlic yogurt! My Canadian partner loved them too and he’s picky with Persian food! Merci Maman !!
Amazing experience from start to finish. The food was delicious, the staff were kind and attentive, and the overall vibe was fantastic. One of the best restaurants I’ve tried recently.
Went there a couple of months ago and honestly amazing food, decor and staff. Was seated with my friends beside a Persian family and was extremely happy when I got complimented for having a great pronunciation.
Good choice when I’m nearby and want a solid meal. Wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to come eat here if you live further away. Based on the reviews and attention this restaurant has been getting, my expectations were super high for this place. It was good but didn’t exactly meet my expectations.
Definitely my favorite Persian restaurant when I go come to Montreal. The Vaziri is amazing and so is the Kashkeh Bademjoon. Will visit this place regularly moving forward.
There aren’t many restaurants in Ville Émard and certainly none of this calibre. The decor, tables, artwork, even tea cups are all beautiful and reflective of the rich Persian culture. It was hard to choose from the sides, so we got the variety platter. We were first served the milk soup, which was an unexpected delight; each of the small dishes were bursting with authentic flavours (who knew you could elevate olives?). For the main course, I got the saffron chicken kebab, which was amazing and cooked to perfection. It came with delicious rice and veggies. We were too full to get dessert but will definitely be doing so next time as I heard the cheesecake baklava is to die for. I don’t know what else to say except that you should definitely visit my neighborhood to try this exquisite restaurant for yourself.
One of the best Iranian restaurants in Montreal. Lamb shank and koobideh are the best
We had a lovely Sunday lunch here with our grandparents and toddler, and the experience was flawless. The staff were incredibly gracious, friendly, and considerate, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The restaurant itself has tasteful decor and a wonderful atmosphere. It’s quiet enough to have a proper conversation without shouting, and the tables are spaced far enough apart that you never feel cramped—even with a larger group. As for the food: it was amazing and the portions were very generous. A lovely surprise was that the mains included a complimentary soup appetizer, which was delicious and a very thoughtful touch. Beef Stew: Traditionally prepared, beautifully presented, and so flavorful. Koobideh: This absolutely blew my mind! It was a huge hit with our toddler, too. Shrimp Rice: Simply out of this world. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
A great Persian restaurant with authentic, homemade‑tasting dishes, warm and attentive service, and a truly inviting atmosphere. A place that feels both delicious and welcoming.
Great food and staff ☺️ Must try resto
The food and service was excellente.
Yesterday I ordered for pick up half hour later when I got there still working on it. After got my food for what I ordered two skewers of koobideh two skewers of chicken and two skewers of bath and one only one tomatoes for pick up. For $166 I was hoping at least the food is good which far far away from being good the barg kabob was like eating a piece of plastic and chicken uncooked and receiving six tomatoes and small onion and parsley which was rotten onion. So is not true 20-30 for three people is like $75 for pick up now I have no idea how much to sit there and eat. Food wasn’t good service was terrible and price was too high don’t eat there is just too much
Excellent food, Nothing but quality and worth your time. Fresh, flavours, hearty and simple dishes. We shared a meal with 2 adults and it was well worth it. We got a amazing entree soup tasted like heaven (young children and adults approved)
One of the best Persian restaurants I’ve ever been to. The soup is amazing 👌
