Oh my god I am so happy I found this place and that it is right next to me when I come to Montreal. It is so hard to find healthy food like this, the Haines chicken was perfect and the Vietnamese beef noodle soup cured me. The complimentary tea is beyond perfect I just want to come over for a cup all the time! I’m telling you guys if you opened in Vancouver this business would explode but seriously I will tell all my friends, this place is legit my fave food in mtl

I have been craving Hainanese chicken rice for a while and my friend told me about this place and they did not disappoint me. It tastes so good and authentic! The sauces were accurate and yummy while the broth that comes with the dish was surprisingly tasty. The mango sago was equally amazing. The only criticism I could give was that the shrimp toast could have more shrimp on it, but it was well made and crispy. The staffs were really nice and they even brought us complimentary beers because the food was slower than usual (which was not slow at all for us). I will definitely come back and I highly recommend this restaurant.

I absolutely love this restaurant. The food is outstanding. To think I can get authentic nasi lemak and Hainanese chicken in Hochelaga! Plus Fei, one of the owners, is very kind and personable. I really hope the neighbourhood proves itself worthy of this place.

We stumbled upon this gem in our neighborhood, and it was such a nice discovery. You must share the plates : the cabbage salad, the lamb shoulder and a dessert. The service was so cute!

My experience at Maison Jofei was simply epic. From the moment I walked in, you can feel how much attention has been put into the décor. Everything is vintage well put together, and most importantly extremely clean (which is rare to find in Montreal!). The tables are spotless, not oily at all, and even the floors are sparkling. One detail that really stood out to me was the fresh flowers on each table. As for the service: top-notch. I truly have nothing negative to say, everything was perfect. For the food, first they offer a hot orange cinnamon tea as welcome drink. I started with a fig grilled cheese as an appetizer. It was delicious, with a great balance between the smoky cheese and the sweetness of the fig jam. I ordered the Nasi Lemak chicken as a main course and wow… such a rich combination of flavors, textures, and freshness all in one dish. The chicken crispy from the outside and super juicy from the inside, served with rice topped with coconut sauce, boiled egg, cucumber and anchovies. For dessert, we had the black rice pudding with fresh mango, coconut milk, and lychee, and it was absolutely amazing. This experience exceeded all my expectations, and I will definitely be coming back!

The food and ingredients are surprisingly creative! It’s definitely not your typical neighbourhood restaurant. The portions are generous, and every dish feels thoughtfully crafted. My favourites were the Hainan chicken and the Hakka gnocchi! Both were absolutely delicious (I love all the dishes actually!). I also loved the vintage decor, which adds a lot of charm to the experience. On top of that, the owner is incredibly warm and welcoming. Highly recommended! :) 加油呀老闆娘～等你開分店！

My third or forth visit, and this time we even brought along two families from Toronto to try it. They all said the standard is top-notch—very thoughtful and absolutely delicious. On top of that, we got a rare surprise: a once-in-a-lifetime dessert… mango pomelo sago. The taste is even better than that of a famous dessert shop in Hong Kong…😊😊 It brings back the taste of home country. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Simply delicious! My second time at Maison Jofei, and just as good as the first. The lamb dish is rich and tasty. Warm, inviting atmosphere with plenty of plants and flowers. Very friendly staff, and quick service. Highly recommend!!

What a great find. The menu pulls dishes from different parts of Asia, and you can really taste the care that goes into each one. Everything is well seasoned and made with a lot of attention to detail. Their chili oil is seriously one of the best I’ve had. Paired with their slightly sweet soy sauce over a bowl of rice, it’s such a simple but amazing combination. Pricing is fair and service is great. If you’re someone who really appreciates good food, this place is a true hidden gem. 🌶️

Delicious and homey food. The portion size is great (so full!). Very cozy ambience with lots of plants and fresh flowers around. The chefs are talented and curious to explore different fusion cuisine. Can’t wait to come back to try different items on the menu!

Loved this restaurant and will definitely be back! The place is so cozy and welcoming. The beef noodle soup was fragrant, comforting and absolutely delicious. Also loved the shrimp toast and matcha tiramisu.
