I would recommend being cautious with this restaurant. We tried the buffet and noticed mold on the blackberries and a fly in the honey. We informed the staff because the buffet area did not appear to be closely monitored. The à la carte menu was also very limited, and overall the food felt overpriced for the quality. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would not return.

The breakfast buffet was good, but the honey had dead flies in it. I did not expect that from a restaurant like this.
Small bar area with cozy, conversational lounge seating. The bartenders were personable and attentive. I told mine I was ordering escargot and asked her to suggest a drink pairing. She made me a gin-based cocktail with cucumber and mint notes that was really refreshing and paired nicely. The escargot itself, though, had a little too much going on for me. It came with mushrooms in a garlic sauce, but the mushrooms completely overpowered the dish. If you took a full bite together, all you really tasted was mushroom. Since I was specifically craving escargot, I ended up picking around them. Nice lounge vibe and service, but I wouldn’t order that dish again.
Stumbled upon Maison Boulud on a lazy Sunday morning while exploring the Ritz-Carlton neighborhood, and honestly it completely set the bar for brunch in this city. The eggs Benedict with smoked salmon were perfectly executed, rich without being overwhelming, exactly what you want after a long week. The dining room has this gorgeous old-world elegance that somehow still feels relaxed and approachable, not stuffy at all. If you work hard Monday through Friday and want to treat yourself on the weekend, this is the spot.
It was an extremely lovely experience with exceptional service. I appreciated very much the recommendation of wines and drinks, the knowledge of the waiter in explaining to us the dishes, and the excellent quality of the meal. The quebec lamb melted in my mouth despite being cooked to the recommended medium level, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her veal. The dessert was also decadent, and ended our evening very nicely. The anniversary surprise was also a super nice touch!
Amazing and deliciouw food, wondeefull service and great atmosphere.
Michelin star for a reason. Exceptional service paired with extraordinary artistry on the plate, true culinary craftsmanship. It made for a memorable and peaceful birthday evening. Definitely a place to experience at least once in your lifetime.
Pricey! $55.-$21. For a glass of wine? Yikes. Chalk it up for being housed in the Ritz hotel. This restaurant is good but not over the top extraordinary. Service was exceptional however, there were several long delays in our five course vegetarian chefs menu. Some of the dishes were artistically plated. The colors and flavors seem to mailed together. We couldn’t quite tell if there was a theme of white asparagus or not.
Nice place, gourmet food which means small portions. It was fine for me but if you have a bigger appetite, may not be totally satisfying but the quality is very good, along with their creative use of ingredients & drinks. Way too pricey for what you get but nice for a special occasion.
By far, the best restaurant in Montréal. I brunch here often on Sunday's and holidays. Excellent chef, staff and atmosphere. Reasonable price for a 5 star experience.
Dining at this acclaimed restaurant was an incredible experience. The service was top-notch, adhering to perfect table etiquette from the warm greeting at the entrance to the personalized attention from the waitstaff. The food was astonishing and beautifully plated, perfectly complemented by an exquisite wine selection and cocktails. For my wife’s special occasion, she was even treated to a complimentary dessert that made the evening truly memorable.
For brunch, it used to be good, now its AMAZING. As a client its nice to feel listened to. I went 4 months ago a first time and was very satisfied although not mesmerized by the veinoiseries. This time around though, they were really good! From the vienoiseries basket to the mimozas and course meals, everything was spot on. The service was also amazing, for a 15 minute wait due to a large group between starters and main, our waitress very kindly comped us the drinks and vienoiseries basket. Definitely recommend!
Outstanding food and service—a must-try. I sat at the bar and had a really pleasant conversation with the bartender, which added to the experience. The atmosphere is upscale, so dress nicely—it’s definitely more of a “treat yourself” kind of spot. The restaurant has a beautiful terrace and is perfect for all kinds of occasions, whether it’s closing business deals, dining with family, or going out with friends. They also have tables that accommodate larger groups. The ingredients are top-notch, and it shows in every dish. They're so accommodating. They made me a vegan dish (mushroom risotto) that was not on the menu. And even proposed a vegan sorbet that was not on the menu, as a dessert. This restaurant is pricey so expect to pay 100$ per person.
The meals here are always delicious and delightful—perfectly prepared food, refined sauces and seasoning, and friendly attentive service. I love the people watching too, a fun mix of couples, friends, business meetings, families—everyone looks happy, grateful for the excellent meal in the charming setting.
The food looks artistique and very delicious 😋. The waiters are amazing . Beautiful ambiance 🫶
We celebrated a birthday and the service was excellent. Our glasses were never empty. The cocktails were imaginative and beautiful. Perhaps it was the items we chose but the food was good. Not spectacular or imaginative but it was satisfactory.
Very exquisite French cuisine, incredible service. The staff were very kind, explaining every detail of each dish to us. It's a very pleasant dining room experience. The tables had plenty of room. Chairs were comfortable. There was enough noise to not be overhearing your neighbor's conversations and not so loud that you can't hold your own. We're staying at the Ritz-Carlton so this is also an extremely convenient option for us.
Supremely disappointed with this restaurant. Food was not up to par. We were a very large group and had ordered 3 bottles of champagne for everyone. The staff kept serving and opening bottles without first asking if we wanted more thus doubling our bill. It was also impossible for us to track the quantity of bottles actually served. This feels like a rather illegitimate way of upselling. However, Servers and staff were kind and did a good job with the service. This was a last time for everyone in our group.
We really enjoyed the brunch menu here. What we appreciated most was how beautifully each component was executed. The techniques were handled with precision and restraint, yet the complexity still came through in every element of the dish. Nothing felt loud or flashy; instead, there was a quiet refinement achieved through thoughtful balance and depth of flavour, along with a pleasing interplay of textures that unfolded as you continued to savour each bite. It felt like a well-judged balance between French classics and contemporary reinterpretation. We ordered the Garlic Gratiné Snails (Escargot), Salmon Tartare, Pulled Pork Sandwich, Icelandic Cod, and the Chocolate Entremet Cake. The Escargot and Icelandic Cod were well executed. The chocolate cake was a real highlight and easily one of the best desserts we have had in a while. The ambience was cozy yet elegant, which complemented the food beautifully. We would highly recommend this place.
Food tasted unpleasant and the interior looked outdated. Service was okay but would not recommend this spot unfortunately.
Delicious meals at great prices! The portions were generous and the flavors were spot on. Staff was welcoming and the space was clean and comfortable.
I expected more for the price paid ..the dishes a good in general were good... But an average if you compare with high cuisine
We had the Caroteno drink here last night, among a few others, and it was by far the best cocktail on the menu! It was even better than the house Cosmo! Loved it.
