If you, like us, periodically require a “spicy food fix,” then allow me to point you toward our latest choice: @maithaicuisine.mtl. We came in with a craving… and left very satisfied with the heat. To their credit, they offer different levels of spice. We politely—but firmly—encouraged them to treat “spicy” as a personal challenge. What arrived was essentially a bowl of Thai peppers with enough seeds to qualify as a horticultural project. 🔥 We gleefully mixed them into everything for the full, glorious, sinus-clearing experience. Zero regrets. Minimal remaining taste buds. 😅 We began with the absolutely incredible Bang Bang Tornado Shrimp—succulent shrimp wrapped in crispy, seasoned noodles that shattered with each bite. It was crunchy, savory perfection and disappeared from the plate at a suspiciously rapid pace. For mains, we dove into a crispy pork stir-fry that was cooked to perfection—beautifully caramelized with just the right amount of fat (makes you close your eyes mid-bite 🤤 🤤). The Pad See Ew was equally outstanding: tender noodles, rich flavor, and the ideal balance to our self-inflicted spicy inferno. 🌶️ Naturally, we washed it all down with Thai iced tea, a sweet, creamy firefighter rescuing us from our own bravado. Absolute perfection. A special shoutout to our server, Gooi, who was amazing—helpful, lightning-fast, and completely unfazed by our enthusiastic pepper requests. A true professional. All in all, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We left happy and slightly glowing. If you’re craving bold flavors, excellent service, and love spicy food, pay them a visit. Just maybe stretch first 😂 🍲 🌶️

One of the best Thai places out there!! Incredibly fresh and delicious spring rolls and some of the best fried rice I’ve ever had!! And the service was incredible!!

Mai Fried Rice with beef was life changing. Must visit if you’re in town. I wish I was a local here just for this food.

Wow! Everything is so delicious here and well proportioned! I’ve only ordered through uber eats and fell in love with this restaurant. Their Tom Yum Soup, Chicken red curry, Shrimp Pad Thai, Khao Soi are all so tasty and authentic! I had to stop going to the Thai restaurant near my home 😂

Very good, authentic Thai food. The food was very flavourful, fresh, large portions. We weren’t a fan of the signature seafood dish as it was too salty, battered and deep fried which was not expected from the menu description. Nice atmosphere and service with Thai style decor and open kitchen.

Went for lunch with a friend. We only managed to take a photo of the appetizer bc we inhaled the main course as soon as they come out 🤣 This was my second time here and everything was just as good as the first time 💕 Highly recommend!

Mai Thai Cuisines is fantastic, I have ordered catering from them multiple times. Easy to coordinate, on-time delivery, and the food was so good. Everything tasted fresh, the portions were generous, and guests kept asking where it was from (and went back for seconds). Super smooth experience every time, thank you Mai Thai!

The restaurant provides the real thai flavor. It is a hidden gems in Montreal. Appetizers were all perfectly cooked. Pad thai was so amazing. Definitely would come back again!

Amazing Thai food in the heart of Montreal! Everything tasted authentic, fresh, and full of flavor—just like home-style Thai cooking. The dishes were beautifully presented and perfectly balanced, and the service was warm and welcoming. You can really feel the passion of a family-run restaurant. Highly recommend Mai Thai Cuisine if you’re craving real Thai food on St-Denis!

The room was very, but very cold (no heating, litterally) and i had to put my scarf throughout the supper. Two clients came after us and kept their winter coat… Overall the food was excellent, really liked the egg rolld and fried calamari

I’m sorry to hear that the inside is too cold for you and other clients. We have put more heaters this year but apparently it’s not enough. The restaurant atmosphere is very enjoyable. The food was very tasty, with a lot of flavor and huge portions. We were taken care by the wonderful staff, Gooi (I guess I spelled it right). A definite recommendation and closer to Metro Berri-UQAM.
