⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We dined at Lumi in February for a family birthday celebration, and the entire evening was exceptional. We chose the restaurant in part because I’ve known the executive chef since he was young, and this was my first time experiencing his work as an executive chef in his own space. That personal connection made the evening meaningful for us, but what truly stood out was how completely the experience stood on its own. We enjoyed the nine-course tasting menu, and from the very first course, it felt like a curated artistic journey. The plating was extraordinary. Each dish looked like a piece of art. The dinnerware itself elevated the presentation even further. Every course arrived with intention, precision, and beauty. One of the most thoughtful touches of the evening was the way each dish was presented. As the courses arrived, we were given the option of having them explained tableside or receiving a small card displayed on a little easel describing the ingredients and concept behind the dish. We chose the cards, and it was such a brilliant detail. It allowed us to stay immersed in our family conversation without interruption. Instead of pausing to listen to a formal explanation, we read the cards together, discussed the ingredients, compared flavors, and shared reactions. It made the experience interactive, intimate, and genuinely fun. For a table full of food lovers, it created a shared experience rather than a presentation. The pacing, service, atmosphere, and overall artistry were beautifully executed. Even without a personal connection, this would have been a standout dining experience. An unforgettable birthday celebration and a truly elevated culinary experience in Montreal. Five stars without hesitation. 💥

The evening was magical from the moment we arrived until the very last morsel of the, world class, cuisine was enjoyed. The atmosphere was welcoming calming and embracing. The staff were warm, wonderful, friendly and helpful. The food was beyond amazing. We had the tasting menu and each new dish was served with elegance, beautifully presented and full of rich wonderful flavor. The blends of sweet and savory, and the unique combinations of spices, were a treat to the palate. I can say without a doubt, that I have never tasted anything as magnificent, as this. A dining experience you wont want to miss. Hats off to Executive Chef, Graham Hood, top drawer!!

We experienced a beautiful evening at Lumi the other night. Exquisite, artistic, flavourful food delighting our palettes. The ambiance was serene, relaxing and visually appealing. Graham Hood, the executive chef, is truly in his element with his expressive, tantalizing 9-15 course tasting menu. The combination of flavours, presentation and visual delight was a once in a lifetime experience. We can’t wait till we’re back in Montreal to go again!
