This is quite the experience. We came for their monthly brunch which in this case showcased seafood. It was excellent but a lot of food 😂 The service was impeccable as was the ambiance. I will definitely visit again soon and try their regular menu. 👍😎

Overall experience — ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We celebrated our anniversary at L’Orée du Bois on Thursday evening and had a truly memorable experience. Everything came together beautifully for a special night. Food quality — ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The food was outstanding. We started with an entrée of escargot and mushrooms in a remarkable sauce — rich, flavourful, and elegantly presented. The magret de canard that followed was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. A wonderful menu that does justice to classic French cuisine. Ambiance — ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The setting is warm and inviting — exactly what you’d hope for on an anniversary dinner. The atmosphere felt both refined and welcoming, making the evening feel truly special. Service — ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Attentive, professional, and gracious throughout the evening. We felt well looked after from start to finish.

I had the filet mignon—it was delicious, tender, and perfectly cooked with great sides and service. A bit pricey, but worth it for a special occasion. Highly recommend! The prices are very high and makes this restaurant once in life experience. It is really good but only for one try.

What a treat to have this staple in the Outaouais open for lunch!  Anyone born and raised in Ottawa, Gatineau and the surrounding areas knows that L'Oree du Bois is the epitome of fine cuisine.  Even after more than 40 years, it is THE place to experience a superior dining experience, all while enjoying a gorgeous and welcoming atmosphere. We were celebrating my father's 96th Birthday and everything was just perfect, charming, good food selection, wait staff was lovely and attentive, food was great, nothing that was not up to excellence. Overall absolutely delightful. Would highly recommend.

This is my favourite restaurant in the area. The food is always creative but genuine (good ingredients, well presented, not 'foofy' and absolutely delicious. The service team will professional and always lovely. Yesterday we had great soups (caramelized onion, Carrot and ginger), steak tartar, salade panaché and for mains: duck magret, duck confit, sweetbreads. All absolutely delicious. The wine list if good. Bravo again to L'Orée - we had a fabulous evening.

We reserved for the maple festival 4 course meal. It was exceptional. Our server Cassia, was friendly, professional and an excellent server, very attentive, as was all the dining staff!! Each course was a delightful bite of maple and the combination of each dish were well thought out. Compliments to the chef!! It would be hard to pick a favourite as each one was delicious. Portions were perfect!! A must do next year!! Thank you for this amazing experience!!

I had the “cabane à sucre” Sunday brunch and it was delicious. It was a set menu with four courses. Great atmosphere, service was a tad slow but it was a full house when I attended.
