Went for the lunch AYCE special and received great service. Food is ordered through the waitstaff so I was a bit worried that it would be hard to flag them down, but they came to check up on me plenty of time in my short 1 hour stay (I went at a time that wasn't extremely busy). The staff also answered all my questions happily offered me more laddles when they noticed I was also drinking the broth directly. Empty dishes were cleared promptly, so no clutter would build up on the table. Service and food delivery was fast.

I’m visiting Montréal from Calgary and finally had the chance to try Liuyishou Hotpot, which had been on my list for a long time. It was my very first visit to this location, and even though I’m not new to hot pot, the menu here can feel overwhelming especially since the restaurant was quite busy. That’s where Bohao truly stood out. Despite the rush, he took the time to patiently explain the menu, walk me through the options, and make some excellent recommendations. His knowledge, professionalism, and genuine kindness made the entire experience feel relaxed and welcoming. His level of customer service was honestly second to none. What really impressed me was the personal touch. Bohao asked where I was visiting from and, before I left, even sent me home with some treats for my kids. That small gesture made a big impact and left me genuinely happy walking out the door. I would absolutely recommend Liuyishou Hotpot not only to locals, but to anyone visiting Montréal. And while I’m not sure if Bohao is a manager, he certainly conducts himself like one and would be an incredible asset in that role. I’ll definitely be back.

I was really looking forward to a great hotpot experience, just like the LiuYiShou in Edmonton with its amazing snack bar, sauce bar, and plenty of fresh, tasty side dishes. Unfortunately, this location was a huge disappointment. The snack bar looked sad and unappetizing. All the fried items were hard and pale. Service was poor from the start; one server gave us a strange look when we walked in. We had to ask for basic soup spoons, which are essential for hotpot. We waited 20 minutes for our meat rolls, while other tables got theirs much earlier. The vegetables weren’t fresh, and portions were tiny. A server even touched the meat on my plate while serving, which was unprofessional. I ordered the tomato soup base, and it came covered in a thick layer of oil. Hotpot is literally my family’s favourite food and we have it a lot at home too. I’ve never seen a single tomato soup base with this much oil… When I politely asked if it’s possible to have some oil removed, the server gave me a weird look and flatly said no. They also added a mandatory tip at the end... I definitely prefer other hotpot locations, like Happy Lamb or Haidilao. Chinese hotpot can be so much better than this.

My sister brought my husband and I to Liuyishou to try hotpot for the first time and it did not disappoint! Our waiter, Bohao was very attentive and made sure to explain every feature of the restaurant to us. He offered us aprons, hair ties, and even brought out a special sauce for us to try. His service was exceptional! They were also able to accommodate to my peanut allergy and let me know which soup bases would be safest, which we ended up liking a lot! We are familiar with most of the flavors and made sure to choose a variety. The best for us was the guizhou (spicy, sour) followed by the white pepper chicken (savory, deep) and coconut chicken (sweet, light). Definitely order fresh soy milk if you get anything spicier because they go great together. We enjoyed the matcha/vanilla soft serve that was part of our meal as well. Overall, it was a great experience and we'd all go again!

Had to wait A LOT before being served. Cant fault the waiters though, ayce but not buffet, but served at table, dozens of table, and only 2 3 waiters workings, while 1 2 relaxing behind the counter. Some foods were hits, some were missed, not knowing what you getting when ordering doesnt help. The tom yum broth was too spicy for something labelled mild, and am the type to eat chilli in every single meal at home. A lot of items unavailable on the menu, which is a shame and you don't know before hand. We picked this place for 2 specific dishes and both were unavailable. Same for dessert, after mid food, we were looking forward for the taro dessert, but they only had ice cream and omg the ice cream was watered down, like fr, how can you go wrong with ice cream! Aint the worst I ever had but for sure will never go again and regret going.

My favourite hotpot restaurant, so far...we came in for lunch once it's open, they already had a little line, but we got in fast, they explained how to order and where to get the sauce and appetizers. After we ordered, food came quick. They have good quality food and service. The price is a little bit pricey than the others, maybe coz we had "all you can eat"

Hello, I would like to share some feedback regarding the reservation process. Today, we were a group of six planning to dine at this restaurant. We had been here before and truly enjoyed the experience, which is why we wanted to come back. I tried to make a reservation in advance. I called the restaurant, but it went straight to voicemail. I called again the next day, five times, and once again, no answer, only voicemail. I also sent a message on Instagram, and as of writing this review, I still haven’t received any response regarding the reservation. This is honestly unacceptable. Because of this situation, I ended up cancelling an entire evening that had been planned. It’s very disappointing to organize something for a group and then have to cancel due to a lack of communication. The food is good, that’s why I am giving 3 stars, but I sincerely encourage the management to improve the reservation system. I would not want other families or groups to go through the same experience. It’s truly frustrating to see people disappointed after planning a special evening. Thank you.
