I was very disappointed by Vieux St Laurent’s service. When I arrived, I was offered coffee or tea, which is included within the “festin” deals. When I asked what kinds of teas were available, I was told there was a green tea, which I chose for my drink. The server failed to let me know that this was a “herbal tea” and I would be up charged for this. It was 4$ not including tax and tip, AND it was just a basic green tea bag. There was hair in me and my friends’ food, and we gave the restaurant the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe it was one of ours, as everyone in the kitchen was wearing hair masks. But then I saw a server walk food out with a hair hanging off the plate, that had obviously been dipped or had touched some runny egg white. Very gross. Finally, the server then basically kicked us out of the restaurant by coming up to us with our bills (we had not asked for them), making us pay. At this point I realised I had been up charged 4$ for some basic tea, and hadn’t even gotten the included coffee/tea from my meal. I asked for a refill for my tea, and not even 1 minute after the server told us a table of 6 was coming in so we needed to leave. As a server myself I understand when mistakes are made. But here, no apology or attempt to make up for the miscommunication was made. The only great thing was the food portions and the food itself which was amazing, apart from the hairs.

amazing breakfast place with super good food. servers were able to work through a line and sat a big group easily. would come back

One of the best overall experience we had with our server Eric. Food was great and big quantity!!! Will definitely recommend trying it.

We all (4) ordered the breakfast feast and substituted crepes for pancakes and although we are all big eaters we could not finish our meals.…. Eric was our server and he was exceptional!!.. we highly recommend this place and would like to express our appreciation.. thx
