Very disapointed. They forgot an apetizer They served us our mains 50min after the one appetizer they didn't forget serving us. Mains were cold and not tasty as usual.
Visited Le Serpent for dinner last night with my fiancé after wanting to try it for awhile, and it far surpassed our expectations! Everything from the building the restaurant is in to the decor, service and food was incredible (I wish I had taken photos to attach here). Best meal we've had in awhile, would highly recommend!
Absolutely incredible experience. Food was delicious. Staff was great. Beautiful venue and ambiance. Our waitress was very excited to tell us about their specials which made us excited to try them and she was right. Her recommendations were delicious. She also brought us a side table for our sparkling water which we thought was such a nice touch.
Great service. Very good food. Would go again.
10/10 experience. Service, food ambience were all top notch. Would recommend the mushroom tartlet, octopus and bucatini as they were all unique and flavorful in their own way.
Everything was exceptional, the quality and creativity of the menu was exquisite, the service was fantastic, the food was executed beautifully, and the atmosphere /decor/vibe was so fun yet classy without being too pretentious. Absolutely amazing dining experience. We will definitely be back. N.B. this was all that on a Monday night of all things...couldn't ask for more.
The quality of the food is so damn good.
Disappointing and underwhelming experience. Very middle of the road food-wise, nothing amazing, nothing bad, just very average. Service was slow and rather indifferent to our existence. For almost $300 for two people I expected a higher standard. Table felt way too small for 4 people to eat comfortably and the ambient noise didn't permit conversation without yelling. 30+ minutes for our bill to be figured out. I should have heeded experienced industry advice before coming here.
We had such a lovely evening at Le Serpent. The food was excellent, especially the Bucatini and the Paccheri. They really know how to do pasta right. Both dishes were fresh, full of flavour, and unique in the best way. The desserts were amazing as well. The tiramisu was rich and delicious. Everything was beautifully presented, and the restaurant itself is stunning with a great atmosphere. Service was kind and attentive, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I would absolutely recommend Le Serpent to anyone looking for a memorable dinner in Montreal.
I found this to be a surprisingly warm and casual place for the high culinary and well deserved praise it receives. I would say it’s as strong in seafood as it is in Italian fare making it a good place for compromise if you want to avoid pasta while satisfying your companion’s craving.
