We (4 of us) ate here tonight and wow the food was so amazing!! The soup to start was just fabulous! Our smash burgers were extremely tasty along with the delicious fries! We will for sure be back!! Prices are very reasonable! Highly recommend!

Tried Le Petit Wellington and honestly, such a solid little spot. For $13, you get a soup, a soft drink, a small portion of fries, and a smash burger — which is actually a really good deal for what you’re getting. Everything tasted fresh and made-to-order, and I loved that it’s an open concept kitchen so you can literally watch them cook your food right in front of you. We didn’t stay long and just split the burger to try it out, but it definitely hit. Simple, well done, and no fuss. Would come back for sure next time we’re in the area

As a true poutine enthusiast with a very high bar for authenticity—having tried countless spots across Montreal and the regions—I was skeptical at first. But, I’m so glad I gave this place a chance. The poutine was excellent, high-quality, and clearly made with respect for the dish with fresh potatoes. What really set the experience apart was the hospitality and service. While I waited for my takeout that I ordered on place, the server kindly invited me to sit and brought over a complimentary homemade vegetable soup. It was such a thoughtful (and delicious!) gesture. I’ve never been to a restaurant that offers a free soup of the day while you wait—it was such a kind touch! Great food and even better service—I’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely killer spot with an amazing, revised menu. I went with my buddies and we were treated like kings. No photos of the food cuz I was too busy devouring the steak poutine… ‘Nuf said

Small, vintage Verdun diner with amazing food! No complaints whatsoever! Whatever you choose on the menu comes with a delicious soup-du-jour (I would have asked for seconds). I ordered the smash burger Wellington and it did not disappoint one bit! Same for the poutine with chicken nuggets!❤️ So glad we went there today!

I ordered takeout, but an 18% tip was already selected when the machine was handed to me, so I had no choice. I would have tipped anyway since the owner kindly gave me soup, but forcing a tip is not acceptable.

Le Petit Wellington is a successful rebranding of Wellington Street's classic Laterna snack bar. While irradiating a hole in the wall aura, this humble restaurant offers a simple but delicious menu of burgers, fries, poutines, and a few other items. The menu is tight, the choices may be few, but you are guaranteed tasty freshness in both ingredients and preparation. The poutines and burgers are really good and prices are decent. As of the time of writing this review, the house offers a soup, fries, smash burger and a soda can for 13,99$. Good value. The place is clean and offers comfortable seats. The clientele is typical "Verdun" but it leads an extra eccentric charm to the place. It took me 15 years to come here, I plan to make it a regular haunt.

The food was amazing ! I especially loved the smash burgers, they were so good with just the right amount of sauce so it doesn’t become soggy. Staff is also very kind and welcoming . Can’t wait to come back and try the steak poutine !

I had such a great experience at Le Petit Wellington! The hospitality really stood out—while we were waiting for our food, they kindly offered us soup, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food itself was fantastic. I highly recommend the smash burger and the poutine both were absolutely delicious. Definitely worth a visit!
