A very cute little cafe in Old Montreal. You can pick a sandwich out of the fridge and they can heat it for you. They are not made to order. If they are out of what you want, you are out of luck. On the day we went, the man at the register would speak English to customers (who didn’t know French), but then when their orders were ready he called them out in French. I could see the customers confusion, but he didn’t notice. They had to get his attention and ask if it was theirs. To be fair, he was busy and I’m sure he didn’t mean anything by it. It’s likely just habit to speak French. I just don’t think it classifies as 5 star customer service. Personally, the service and the food quality make this a 3 star experience. It was fine as a quick stop when passing by, but I wouldn’t seek it out.
What guests say about Le Petit Dep|Café-Épicerie Fine|St-Sulpice
Le Petit Dep is often appreciated for its warm atmosphere, cute decor, and cozy little stopover feel, with coffee, hot chocolate, and several drinks generally well liked. Many customers also highlight good service, even though the place is small, sometimes very busy, and better suited for a quick break than for staying a long time. A few reviews do note irritants such as inconsistent service, products sometimes being unavailable, and value for money that is not always convincing.

Hate to leave bad reviews but this wasn’t great. Ordered a hot chocolate and an English breakfast tea to go. The tea was earl grey and in mug.
Good vibes..
Wow a must
We had pistachio cappuccino but its doesnt taste like cappuccino
Best Coffee in Town ☕
Lovely coffee but the almond croissant was too sweet and a bit dry
Nice coffee and souvenirs store
I went to the St-Sulpice branch a few days ago, food was ok but a staff member shouted at me after I asked a simple question. I also visited the Plateau branch a few months ago and found the service disappointing; in both cases I felt unwelcome.
honestly expensive and not good. Got the iced chai and matcha
Great service and such a cute place to stop by. Please note they don’t allow laptops I’m assuming so you don’t hog the seating the entire day which is kinda nice since it is a busy area. Coffee and lattes are so good here just wish they had better sandwich options.
Great atmosphere and great coffee
The coffee is ok, very sour for my taste, the hot chocolate wasn’t hot or even taste like chocolate more like milk and very pricey for 8$ no chocolate taste. Nice decoration but not much space at the old port location. Pastries are ok.
It is very pretty inside with cute merch. The food and drinks are ok. I would not return as it is extremely busy with tourists, just for unimpressive food.
Amazing coffee! The crispy rice milk chocolate is yum yum. Paid CAD32 for the items plus a canned kombucha not sure how much the items are individually there’s no individual price tag for them.
Lovely place next to Notre Dame and near the Old Port. Great atmosphere!
Computer and tablets are not accepted. Place to talk and enjoy some quietness. I loved it
Many syrup, candies and sweets available to purchase. Neat decor. Small cozy space.
I wasn’t able to try any food or drinks, unfortunately. After waiting about 10 minutes to get a seat and another 10 minutes to decide and stand in line, I selected three different items from the menu, only to be told that none of them were available. It would really help if the menu reflected what’s actually in stock, or if staff informed customers earlier.
very cute place, love the music and decor :3
My absolute favourite spot. Me and my brother love hanging out here. It’s so cozy and their drinks are amazing!
This coffee shop is really good — great quality coffee and super friendly staff. Drinks come out fast too. Only thing is there’s almost no space inside, so it’s more of a grab-and-go spot than a place to sit and relax. Still worth it for the coffee. ☕
Since we moved to Montreal, we haven’t skipped one weekend. Every Saturday or Sunday, despite of the snow ⛄️, we are always here. We love the atmosphere 🍀⭐️✅👌🤞
Finally found really good coffee in Montreal😄 Croissant was also very good.
Nice little café / shop.
