If you want to pay $160 for 2 adults and 3 kids to eat a cold slice of cardboard pizza, white bread grilled cheese, 2 Chilis, Mac and cheese, 3 pieces of fruit (and we split a water)… then enjoy! The pricing is offensive, even for on mountain eating, but the quality is even worse. Don’t eat here.
Reviews / Ratings for Le Grand Manitou
Low choice of options, food looked dried out and not so fresh, I get its a resort and im not a cheap person but the food was so overpriced I literally walked out and just went hungry. Bring a lunch or pack snacks. To afford a meal for two people your basically paying for a third ski pass lol
Very crowded and over price foods. The quality is not very good also.
While the main focus here is the restaurant, there’s also a small shop inside offering gear such as mitts, gloves, helmets, goggles, locks, and other accessories. I stopped by recently because my legs were cold, and the staff recommended a pair of Kombi insulated shorts to wear under my insulated ski pants. Absolute game changer. They’ve dramatically improved my warmth and comfort. Thanks for the excellent help ladies!
I would like to preface this review by stating that for me to take the time to leave a 1 star rating, it requires an ASTONISHINGLY poor quality of food or terrible value; “Le Grand Manitou” manages to check both boxes. The pizza slice and cheeseburger are arguably the worst I have ever had in my adult life, while simultaneously commanding a higher price point than any restaurant without a Michelin rating. The pizza slice was served lukewarm-cold, and has likely been sitting in a warmer for hours. For context, I purchased my food at peak lunch hour (12:45pm). The thin layer of cheese tasted gross and the slimy pepperoni underneath was just as bad. The burger was overcooked to the point that the bite feel was akin to sun-aged shoe leather. This is impressive, because it is nearly impossible to dry out beef this fatty, salty, and processed. I own a food business, so I fully understand how difficult it is these days to provide a good product at a reasonable price. That being said, this feels like a pure scam operation and the food is barely fit to feed to my dogs. Mont Tremblant, please do better. This experience felt like I was being rinsed completely. I was at the top of Whistler a week ago, and for the same price (still crazy expensive) it was at least half decent food. Summary: Horrible food, value non existent, RUN SCREAMING. Pictures attached for your viewing pleasure. For anyone reading this review - I sacrificed myself so that you can live. Heed my warning.
Got the French onion soup and it tasted rancid, as if there were chemicals in it. Was disgusting. Get a French onion soup at the base on south side at la diablo. That was a 10/10, absolutely DELICIOUS. This was $18 and awful. Would not recommend, which sucks cause the stuff were nice and even handed it to me.
I was not expecting great quality from the food, but the prices are simply ridiculous for what it was. But at least the fries were good. Also the place was really crowded but the ones with the view to the mountain was beautiful
