Extremely loud music. Couldn’t have a conversation without yelling.
Reviews / Ratings for Le Fou Fou - Montréal
The music played is too loud. It made our dining experience less enjoyable because we couldn’t hear each other from across the table.
I'm not sure about the food but even planning is kinda of a mess. The Indian barmaid seems really confused and not really helping her barmaid. While the black mulate barmaid was doing everything, alone. Another guy came to help for a bit. The Indian girl just walks around, disappear, then comes with a bottle service but can't get ice bucket or take from her staff then gone again. The first drinks for 3 people came full and good amount of alcohol at 45$. We ordered the same thing a second round and it was 95$ and told me later it's 15$/shot when I confirm it's 15$ a drink, nothing about shot. Remake it and it was 30$ but somehow changed it to 46$. Very confusing and I can't trust the price or what quantity. They could be better train or have pricing somewhere.
Very good sandwiches and coffee! Clean and modern decor overall.
I ordered the wagyu beef burger along with a poutine, and honestly, the experience was pretty underwhelming. For the price, I expected much more. The burger itself was dry and lacked the rich, juicy flavor you’d hope for when ordering wagyu. It felt overpriced for what was served, especially considering the quality didn’t match the cost. The poutine was decent at first, but overall nothing memorable enough to justify the price point. What really ruined the experience, though, was the customer service. I was given a buzzer to let me know when my food was ready. After waiting for a while and not hearing or feeling it go off, I went up to the counter to politely ask if my order was ready. The staff member immediately gave me an attitude and said, “We’ve been calling you for 15 minutes,” clearly annoyed and assuming I wasn’t paying attention. I explained that the buzzer never rang, but he just looked irritated and told me the food had been sitting there. Only after checking the buzzer himself did he realize it was broken. They did replace my poutine, which I appreciated, but by then my expensive burger was cold and even less enjoyable than before. At that point, the damage was done. Between the mediocre food and the poor attitude, it wasn’t a great experience. For the price, I expected better quality, better service, and definitely better handling of the situation.
Ordered a pork banh mi from the new Sacré Bao. A very generous portion of delicious grilled pork. The sauces were super tasty. The sandwich is HUGE therefore a little messy when eating it but that wouldn’t stop me from coming back!
The attention to service and the variety selection makes the dinning experience a pleasant one. Definitely coming back to Foufou.
