Le Filet completely impressed us. From the moment we walked in, Jesse at the host stand was warm, polished, and welcoming, and Guillaume gave us exceptional service all evening. The food was outstanding — beautifully plated, creative, and full of flavor. Every dish felt refined and memorable, from the delicate crudo to the perfectly executed seafood and the rich truffle pasta. Even dessert was stunning. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, making it perfect for a special night out. Truly one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Montreal. Highly recommend.
What a gem of a restaurant. The meal was one of the best I've had in years (fish of the day and the maple dessert were standouts) and the service was excellent throughout. Special thanks to Sarah who was knowledgeable and delightful in equal measure.
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Food and service were both outstanding!
A great night out. We had their oysters as a starter - 3 different kinds. Plain, crackling maple and miso au gratin, and it was hard to decide which were the best. Then we shared an off-menu plate of gnocchi that was to die for. For main courses I had an Icelandic cod with truffles that was incredible and my partner had a melt-in-your mouth beef cheek. Dessert was a delicious maple square. They don’t advertise much as it seems they have enough of a loyal following to stay busy every night and to catch the attention of Michelin.
Amongst Montréal's better restaurants, Le Filet reliably offers up great food, warm, professional, and knowledgeable service, and an enjoyable atmosphere. Always on my list of recommendations.

We had an incredible experience at Le Filet, and a huge part of that was thanks to Gaizka and Guillaume. From the moment we walked through the door, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and professionalism. Their hospitality was outstanding right from the start — attentive, thoughtful, and effortlessly smooth. They made us feel comfortable immediately, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening. Both Gaizka and Guillaume brought such great energy to the experience. Their knowledge of the menu, their recommendations, their timing — everything was perfectly executed. You can tell they truly care about their guests and take pride in what they do. The service felt natural, not forced, and incredibly sincere. And the food… absolutely exceptional. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. Combined with the level of service we received, it made the entire experience feel elevated and memorable. Management should know that Gaizka and Guillaume are true assets to your team. They represent Le Filet with class, passion, and professionalism. Service like this is what turns a great restaurant into a truly special one. Excellent scallops and ceviche, elderflower mocktail and forêt white wine was outstanding drink pairings with the seafood menu.
6 years ago: A very original restaurant with incredibly good service and very tasty food. Would go back anytime. In 2025: 50 minute wait to get a menu, waiter drinking behind the bar and completely uninterested, just a terrible experience throughout. What is the average of 5 stars and 1 star ?
The fish of the day and service was excellent
We came here on a whim for NYE. Excellent service, food and atmosphere. Restaurant was able to provide a fully vegan meal without advanced notice. Everyone enjoyed. Highly recommend!
