Le Comptoir de Mamie in Le Plateau, was a great experience. The food was really good and very affordable, perfect for going with friends and sharing dishes. Highlight of the night was definitely the wine. Very good wine on fût, served by the liter, which makes it fun and casual to share at the table. Great vibe overall, easy and very enjoyable night out.

Our order took a very long time to arrive, and even the espresso we ordered after the meal was served much later than the same orders at other tables.It made us feel uncomfortable and treated unfairly.

Mais non Banu, à aucun moment on a voulu te traiter injustement... On ne ferait ça à aucun de nos clients. Désolé si tu as ressenti ça. En ce moment avec l'ouverture des terrasses et le temps incertain, on essaye de jongler entre la formation de nouveaux membres de l'équipe et l'affluence. Just stopped by for lunch at this restaurant. We were sited in a corner and totally ignored by our server for 20 minutes. We had to ask another server to order our food. But then it took an hour later to get only two of our four meals. We had to swallow our food since it was late. We would appreciate more if they let us know if there was a problem in the kitchen or service since there were other customers came in after us but got their meal then paid and left before we got our meals. Moreover, the food is not good. The steak was chewy and the salad was not fresh. Unfortunately, taking in the quality of the food and the bad service, we do not recommend this restaurant. There are plenty of better restaurants on Mont Royal.

I ordered the roast chicken sandwich au jus and it was the best roast chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. The chicken is moist and a generous portion. The baguette is crispy and tasty. And the jus is fantastic. It’s a homemade combination of fresh ingredients. The atmosphere indoors is authentic and the outdoors patio is a good size. I will definitely be back.

What a fantastic restaurant. New though it’s obvious this crew knows what they are doing. My friends and I visited the city for a couple of weeks and circled back to this establishment many times. 🙏🏻 many thanks to the Mamie’s crew for great food and service.

Amazing food, service, decor! We had the mussels and fries, the crepe suzette, wowww! Also the wine selection is varied and super good! Cannot wait to try their brunch/coffee too! A new gem in the plateau ❤️
