Wonderful experience. Service was excellent from the greeter to waiter and staff. The scallops were amazing especially paired with beef tongue. The pork chop was tender and very hearty. The cod was perfectly cooked. The baked alaska was a very good desert.

The oysters and scallops were enjoyable, and I would rate them 4 out of 5. However, the pork chops were saltier than I would have preferred and did not meet my expectations in terms of flavor. The timing between courses was also quite lengthy, which made the overall dining experience feel slower than expected. While the service was good, the food quality and pacing were somewhat disappointing overall. I had hoped for a more consistent experience given the restaurant’s offerings.

This is a delightful little restaurant for which we made reservations a couple weeks in advance. We started with a delicious CDR wine that our waitress recommended and that cost $73 a bottle. Worth every penny. We then moved on to a dozen oysters for $34 that were incredibly fresh and came with a frozen tomato "slushy" type cocktail sauce and a jalapeno sauce that were both delicious, although we both ate the oysters with just a squeeze of lemon and tried the sauces on the side. The bread with leek butter was incredible, as were both our entrees, cod and pasta Amatriciana. We finished with a pistachio pie. If we lived in Quebec City, this would become a go-to place for us. Not inexpensive but definitely worth it for the food, service, and ambiance.

Our first time visiting Quebec and stumbled upon this gem. WOW is not enough of a word to describe our experience and the FOOD. We sat at the bar because we didn't have reservations. It was great because we saw how the bartender made the drinks so very entertaining. (We dont drink due to recent health issues but loved seeing how the drinks were made) Also where we sat felt like an intimate spot. Even though we were seated at the bar, our server Kathleen and staff were very attentive. Kathleen explained how the menu worked because I didn't realize the beef tongue I was going to order was only an appetizer and since I was hungry I wanted main meal already. Kathleen explained what each main dish consisted of and answered all our questions. We ordered the pork chop and cod (fish of the day). Then the meal came with the bread. We thought the bread was small like a bagel, but once you bit into it (fresh/hot) it was AMAZING. They had me at bread...and the leek butter was subtle and smooth. Then I tried the pork chop...OMW...perfectly cooked....not raw but tender, juicy and not dry!! The whole dish worked together with the thinly sliced radishes, mushrooms and greens with a lights sauce glazed over. The pork was the spotlight and it showed. Husband got the cod and it was soo light, flaky and melted in our mouths. The nuts made this dish fun with the roasted cauliflowers and daikon. He was super happy with his choice. Kathleen suggested the Baked Alaska but tasted like key lime pie but subtle and not overpowering. Overall an outstanding find. Thanks for a great experience Kathleen @Le Clocher Penche. There is a Michelin 2026 plaque on the outside and we agree!! We will definitely return.

The food and service were outstanding. Highly recommend. The homemade bread with leek butter melted in your mouth. We also enjoyed the fried mushrooms. My husband had the pork chop, which was cooked to perfection, so moist. I enjoyed the cod. A gastronomic gem.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Every bite was delicious, unique, and felt thoughtfully put together. I don’t usually go to restaurants like this because I’m pretty picky and I get nervous with menus where I don’t know a lot of the ingredients. But it was highly recommended, so we checked it out and we are so glad we did. The service was excellent as well, and it’s a very cute little space. Definitely recommend!

I’d first preface that the atmosphere was great and the waitstaff were extremely kind. Our dining experience was 2 stars because: 1: the bartender kept tasting the cocktails with the bottom of a straw, and inserted the same straw end into multiple drinks for tasting before service. Extremely unhygienic. 2: we ordered the pork chop and it was so dry and tough. We expected a medium pork chop, we got well done. 3: the wine was $10-$14 for a mere 4oz. We’d rather be charged a few dollars more for a full pour. 4: being sat at the bar, we were splashed a few times because the bartender kept slamming bar tools into the sink in front of us.

There were various groups, the restaurant was busy. Possibly not enough help to accommodate all the diners. We were made to wait for our main course for over an hour with no explanation or concern. Not a pleasant experience.
