Fantastic/Great food, I ordered a lamb curry with 4 types of nuts as their specialty dish with basmati rice and mixed salad, and buttered naan bread. Large serving, great service, varied menu. Can't wait to come back and try their other plates..Great.music in background with Deep House playlist (Nayla). You need to try this place. I highly recommend 🤗
What guests say about Le Château de l'Inde (bar&lounge)
Reviews are very mixed, but several customers praise the flavorful Indian cuisine, sometimes generous portions, and a pleasant atmosphere. The service is often described as warm and attentive, but several comments also note long waits, uneven استقبال, and a lack of transparency about prices or added fees. If you go, it’s better to check the ordering terms and fees before booking.

The food was really good 5/5 for that but the portion sizes were really small and the prices were high. That small bowl of chicken curry was around $26 andI loved it but i wish the portion sizes were bigger. Will definitely visit them the next time im in quebec city.
Nice food
Food was delicious. Must try Madras Chicken and Badami Chicken. Will recommend highly to if you want to try indian cuisine.
The food and atmosphere were okay but the service and the quantity of the food wasn’t really good.
Really enjoyed the food here! The chicken madras and badami chicken were delicious, and the tandoori roti went perfectly with them. Definitely recommend trying these dishes if you visit. Great food and a lovely experience overall. Would happily come back again! 😊
RUDE and AGGRESIVE OWNER running a FAKE Indian restaurant. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! It is a fake Indian resto run by a third-rated person running a Resto in Canada by misusing India's name, without having any values of true Indian hospitality or Canadian culture of respecting people!! Don't bother calling for reservations because nobody answers. We showed up at 7:00 PM on a weekday and stood at the reception for almost 15 minutes before the owner—who runs the entire show alone to save on employee costs —finally showed up. He claimed they were fully booked for 2 hours, even though the dining room had plenty of empty tables. Then HE MISTREATED OUR FAMILY and a toddler. While we waited for 10-12 mins to see someone at the reception, our tired toddler tried to take some fennel seeds from the reception counter and spilled 5 or 6 seeds onto a takeout menu. We tried to clean it up, but the owner snatched the menus away and told us to "manage your kid don't let him touch things if he can't handle them". Although we were shocked at such a comment, when we politely told him you can't perfectly control a toddler's every move, HE GOT PERSONAL AND CONDESCENDING, saying, "You need to teach your kid how to behave. I have a kids and I control them well." Who is he to give unsolicited, third-grade parenting lessons to paying customers, especially for a harmless mistake from a tired toddler, when he hasn't learnt how to behave himself with people and especially paying customers? Reading other reviews, I see I’m not alone—many others point out his hostile attitude and his strange bias against Indian customers. To the owner: If you are going to profit off a great country's culture and food, learn to treat people with actual Indian hospitality and respect. I know you will reply to this with a fake story to save face, but your pattern of behavior speaks for itself. Families, stay away and don't support a fake business unless he apologizes for his behaviour. NOTE: This is 100% genuine review, factually accurate depicting the incident exactly as it happened. I know the owner would dismiss this review of reply with a fabricated story and unfortunately Google wouldn't allow me to reply, but I request all customers to read other similar 1 and 2 star reviews that resonates with mine.
Food is toooo good, tandoori chicken, paneer ,naans ..excellent
It was a pleasure surprise for our entire family to have stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. The Daal tadka , mutter paneer and Aaloo sabzi had a flavour which we will remember for ever. We were a group of four and we were unanimous in our experience. Strongly recommend it. We wish this place a great success
Best of best Indian food
Absolutely delicious! We had a wonderful dining experience at Le Château De L'Inde! Every single dish we tried—including the paneer, tandoori kabob, and chicken biryani—was absolutely delicious and beautifully served. The food was excellent and the service was top-notch. Highly recommended if you are looking for fantastic Indian food in Quebec City! And above all it’s halal food.
Visited yesterday and left disappointed. Our server spent most of the meal on her phone and barely checked on us. When we asked about the menu, she couldn't answer, so someone from the kitchen came out instead, and he smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The food was below average. The dal makhani and shahi paneer both lacked depth of flavour, and the naan was noticeably sweet when it should be savoury. Not somewhere I'd return to or recommend.
Worst experience .
Bad service, high prices , totally scam , they will loot you. And food is not good taste wise. And they just not want tip , they asking for mandatory service charge , that is 15% .
Worst place i have ever been to Never go there its a total scam they will make up a bill of around $300++ and only for 2 curries and 6 naan Very highly disappointed never suggest anybody to go there #scammers # filthyfood
Worst Restaurant I have ever seen in my life. They forced us to pay 15 percent as a service fee and they said it is tip for the staff and that’s mandatory. The price for any Indian vegetable dish is 50 dollars. Thats ridiculous.
Good food, excellent service and peascefull environment..must visit if you get testy food👍
Please never ever go to this restaurant...they are fooling their customers..food worst.... serving very small portions with price of hiway robbery... I would never suggest any kne to go there.... just very uncomfortable place to be.....
Over priced place. The prices marked on the menu are for a serving which won't be even suffice for one person. The atmosphere was super dull and dark. The dishes were below average and we paid gold prices for them. I believe the reviews are paid as we personally experienced and will totally disagree. I wont recommend the place at all. The breads were as thin as a papad
Really enjoyed the lunch here. Both the food and the service were good. However the price and the extra 15% service makes the place not really worth it. I had lunch for little over $50. I had the mixed grill. It had 1/4 chicken (whole leg split into two parts each part different flavor) and few slices of lamb. It also had rice and salad (see picture). The salad was tasty. Compared to .any other restaurants in the area, I can have good and comparable food for at least $15 to $20 cheaper. I will definitely not return to this place.
Food is terrible with very low quantity. Wrong item was given and charged the full price. Owner is nice but he has no idea what they are serving. Food doesn’t even taste good and very high price for the amount of food given. They also add 15% service charge in total even if you are less than 4 people. Overall not a good experience.
Excellent food and service worth every dollar
Excellent food ... excellent service .. a must try
Great experience!!
DO NOT VISIT. Very disappointing experience. PATHETIC SERVICE We walked in and were seated within about 5 minutes, but after that, the service was almost nonexistent. We waited around 30 minutes and no one came to take our order. We could also see other customers who had arrived before us still waiting for their food. There appeared to be only one person taking orders. Each time we asked if someone could take our order, we were told, “Someone will come shortly.” After waiting approximately 45 minutes without even being able to place an order, we finally asked whether anyone was actually going to serve us. We were then told that they were very busy, that customers with reservations were being prioritized over walk-ins, and that they did not expect so many people on a weekend, so they did not have enough staff. We were basically told that we would simply have to keep waiting. At that point, we decided to leave. What made the experience even worse was the response from the server. She told us that at 9 PM we would not find another restaurant that would take us, that we would have to wait elsewhere anyway, and that nobody was going to serve us any sooner. The tone was extremely rude and disrespectful. Being understaffed or unexpectedly busy can happen, and we would have understood that. But leaving customers sitting for 45 minutes without taking their order, then responding rudely when they decide to leave, is unacceptable. Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience from beginning to end.
