We always stop here for a coffee or tea after walking around the neighbourhood. The service is warm, the place has a really cozy vibe, and the drinks are delicious! Edit: we went for breakfast after I wrote this review and the food is also top notch!!!

Absolute favorite place to grab a weekend brunch. Montreal has some great cafes, but Magda holds a special place in my heart. Maybe it's because I live (and worked) nearby, and we have limited options for places with such warmth and charm. Maybe it's because I know how cool the owner and their family are and how they contribute in strengthening the community and making LaSalle a more vibrant place to live. Or maybe I'm just blown away everytime I eat here, the bursting flavors in every dish never failing to impress my taste buds. Bravo à l'équipe du Café Magda et merci d'être là!

Hit and miss menu … if you’re later they’ve typically run out of many of menu options… but over all a cute addition to the neighbourhood.

Hi Matt! Thanks for writing to us. As we want to make sure to understand your concern, what time did you had your last visit at Magda? Kitchen closes at 3pm everyday and from the time and picture of your comment, we believe your visit was unfortunately done around this hour. It was also on a Sunday when we are switching back to week-day menu. (plus we were also changing to summer menu, which is one-time by season). Otherwise, we put lot of love and care in always offering the most complete and varied menu that we can, while keeping focus on freshness. It can happen that we have a crazy week-end and are empty of one of the options on the menu, per exemple chakchouka where not much can be prepared in advanced. Our goal is to serve as much as possible fresh and daily prepared meals and recipes. Lovely neighborhood café with a great atmosphere, simple yet delicious menu. The chai and the leeks quiche they have this week were so good, I might come back just for that! Friendly staff, everyone walks in and out of that place with a smile on their face. Quickly becoming a favourite spot for my daughter and I.

I love Magda Cafe so much. It’s the perfect little study spot. The food, the staff and the atmosphere is super calm and welcoming. I definitely going recommend if you want to get some work done while sipping a matcha! 🍵💻

A cosy, fun, and family-friendly cafe that makes you feel like you're part of the family straight when you come in. The brunch and coffee were tasty, and the natural wine selection was a nice surprise - with a great range of selection and decent price (finally!)! Excellent price/value/portion ratio overall! Will definitely come back. Go and enjoy!!

An absolute gem in Lasalle, we needed a cafe like cafe Magda here. The food is delicious, offering vegan options which is amazing (we are dairy free so having vegan pancakes on a menu is such a great thing! :) ) The omelette plate is also very good, I love the bread that comes with the plate, its a perfect mix of sweet and savoury. The latte is very good. I love the atmosphere and the decor here as well, it has a very homey feel. 10/10 recommend, great for sitting down for a meal or a coffee and a snack!

Cozy, beautiful and spacious café with attentive, fast service. The food was absolutely delicious. My friend and I enjoyed our time there. Highly recommend!

If you haven’t been to Magda Café in LaSalle, you are truly missing out. This place is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with warmth and genuine kindness and that’s all thanks to the incredible owner, Andreanne. The chai latte? Hands down the BEST in the city. Perfectly spiced, perfectly balanced, and made with so much care. And the vegan muffins… I can honestly say they’re the best I’ve ever had. Indulgent while still being plant-based, total perfection. Amazing service, beautiful energy, and exceptional quality. I’ll be back again and again.
