Wonderful meals, superb multi lingual customer service. Reserved Salle seating. Two (lunch then dinner) visits given nice window seating across to the port. Immaculately plated and crafted dishes. Lots of diversity. Very enjoyable and humorous entertaining table staff (Jo Anne ? is a lot of fun). Would definitely return if I visited Québec again.

Le Café du Monde seems to be a safe bet in Quebec City, with a very high average rating and many satisfied customers. People especially highlight the view of the river, the pleasant atmosphere, the often attentive service, and food that is generally delicious and generous. With river views and plenty of space to enjoy your meal of well established classics. Safe choice.
Best seafood. Usually don’t like calamari or scallops but they made them very good and they were fresh
Service was a bit slow, but we were a large group. Food and drinks were delicious.
We had a lovely dinner here. The food was very good and view, gorgeous.
During our F1 Montreal trip, we took a day trip to Quebec City. It was a 3-hour bus ride, but it was totally worth it! We found this hidden gem away from all the tourist traps. We had 2 hours to explore the cobblestone streets and check out the shops, stores, markets, and restaurants. But the food choices in the tourist trap weren’t our cup of tea. So, we walked about 3/4 mile to one of the best restaurants in the area. First, it’s a bit off the beaten path, so you won’t find it easily. It’s actually near the dock for one of the Canadian Cruise lines. Second, it’s located on the St. Lawrence River. The view is absolutely stunning! You won’t believe the setup and panoramic views. Third, the food was the star of the show. We had fish and chips, French onion soup, and octopus. We loved it all! I also had champagne and a local Rye Whiskey Lot 40. Now, true bourbon drinkers might chuckle because it’s young and super complex at the low proof, but it’s definitely worth trying. We also had a cucumber gin drink that was perfect for the vibe. With that, I highly recommend Cafe du Monde. It’s definitely worth the walk away from all the sub-par restaurants in the tourist area.
Great food and service! Beef tartare was excellent.
Non-white, although French speaking, family. They had lots of open tables and reservations available in the website literally every 15 minutes. When we got there they said they had no tables, right after the seating the (white) people ahead of us. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it felt wrong in my gut sense…
Wonderful restaurant, staff always so accommodating and food is DELICIOUS-I take my mother every year and everytime it’s a delight! She was chilly when we went and they took the time to bring her a warm polar blanket!! Who does that??? They do ♥️ The view of the St Lawrence, their winding splash pool like bar area are unique and amazing!! A MUST if you’re in town!!
I recently visited Café du Monde for dinner and found both the restaurant’s standard and service to be highly questionable. We ordered a medium-rare steak that arrived well-cooked, and when I questioned it, the waitress was dismissive and insisted the dish was correct. Although they did eventually remake the steak, the initial reaction and how we were treated ruined the dining experience, making it feel like they didn't value us as customers. We still left a tip because we believe in compensating for service, but the overall experience was deeply disappointing and left a very negative impression of the restaurant.
An exceptional experience. A great spot!
Excellent breakfast! Service, view, and food were awesome!
Nice spot, decent food, decent view.
Poor service, the food was very bad the beef was burned and the server was so rude

We have been eating here for 20+ years. The food is consistently Good. The view is amazing . Audrey our waitress was excellent.
This restaurant is really gluten-free friendly! Has a very nice view too!
We were a large group of over 30 ppl. Food and service both exceptional. Highly recommend.
Best meal during a recent visit to Québec city. The waitress was very friendly and welcoming. The ambiance is refined but prices reasonable. The "chaudrée de fruits de mer" (seafood chowder) was out of this world delicious. The fish and chips were delightful, the fish was surprisingly light. The mocktails were yummy. We had a window with a view of the water and a cruise ship. Lovely evening.
Amazing food and wonderful service. Going back next time I go to Quebec!
Stumbled in here on a rainy Tuesday afternoon after a long walk through the old city, and the place immediately felt like exactly what a good cafe should be. The cappuccino was properly made, none of that over-extracted bitterness you find in tourist-trap spots nearby, and the croque-monsieur that came out of the kitchen was genuinely satisfying. Staff were attentive without hovering, refilling my water without being asked, which is a small thing but tells you a lot about how a place is run. If you find yourself near the Old Port on a grey afternoon, this is where you want to be sitting.
Hamburgers overcooked and dry. French onion soup only okay. The charcuterie board was wonderful, as was my sidecar. Waitress was very conscientious, and comped my soup.
Very nice food, service and atmosphere.
