Delicious food overlooking the bay! Great service!
What guests say about Le Bateau
Le Bateau seems to be appreciated for its beautiful view, patio, and relaxed atmosphere, with service often described as warm and fast. Several customers highlight good portions and well-liked dishes such as fish and chips, poutine, salmon, tourtière, and pouding chômeur. However, a few reviews mention inconsistent quality depending on the dish, prices sometimes seen as high, and, on occasion, less welcoming service.

Tried the Pudding Chomeur - it was soft and slightly warm. Recommend the dessert 👍
It’s ok. If you hungry, sure. Food was ok, service was ok, beautiful view!
Mediocre overpriced food with indifferent service. Three strikes!
Really enjoyed this place! The food portions were great, the pizza was delicious, and everything was ready pretty quickly. The prices were reasonable too. It was a little noisy inside, but overall, we had a great experience!
One of the best places to have lunch in Tadoussac. An outdoor terrace is recommended.✅️ Good value for money. Ideal for sharing with family and friends, after having gone whale watching in the morning.
I came here with my family of four (including myself) because we didn’t know where to stop. As we walked in, we were welcomed by the really friendly staff and were seated shortly. Most of the staff spoke both french and english, making it much easier to order than in other places, as our french isn’t great. All four of us got four different plates, and we were all amazed at the great food. We are felt satisfied, as the portions were generous. The seating by the window has an amazing view of the St. Lawrence river and the mountains beside it. For anybody interested in seeing whales near Tadoussac, the restaurant is near the entrance to the town, allowing for easy access. Another thing worth mentioning is the fact that the washrooms were perfectly clean, comfortable, and were clearly taken care of regularly by the staff. Overall great experience, great service, good prices… would 100% recommend to anybody looking for a restaurant that is not necessarily the fanciest, yet still wants a good time and a good meal.
Food was great and staff were kind!
Great patio.
Me and my companions went for late lunch between 2-3 pm. The serving size was a decent amount for a budget-friendly price. The food was nothing overly fancy but it was well seasoned and satisfying. The place was very spacious and offers al fresco dining. Hadn't it been for the rain we would have enjoyed our food and view outside but all was good since the interior had a warm ambience and homey feel. Our server was really accomodating and nice too. She made sure we had all we need. There is also a dedicated parking area. Overall we had a positive experience.
We’re from Toronto, and this was our first time visiting this part of Quebec. Before coming here, we had often heard that Québécois people weren't always welcoming to visitors, especially those who don't speak French. I’m so happy to say that our experience was the complete opposite. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed, greeted with genuine kindness, and received outstanding service throughout our visit. We even got to hear the story about the bear, which made the experience even more memorable! 😁 The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the staff made us feel right at home. Thank you for making our first visit to this beautiful part of Quebec such a positive one. We will definitely be back the next time we're in the area. Highly recommended!
Poutine was amazing
How this place could ever have a four star rating is beyond me. Peasant food, bougie pricing. Two orders of sub par fish and chips with two soft drinks came to $81.00. A day old filet-o-fish tastes better. Claims to be battered using Guiness. Sure and I am the king of England. Seriously, maybe time to shut it down? The tartar was good? I can't think of anything nice to say beyond that. The pizza, like all the pizza in this town, looks like it was made in home ec class...in 1992. I am still alive so that's something positive. All the subsequent review questions seem to think this place was a hotel. Maybe that's what's wrong, I thought it was a restaurant.
We didn’t like chicken pizza
