A very rough night was had at Le Balcon. The wait staff was nice, but that was the end of the positives. I got a mocktail, it was $17, I gave the waiter and 20 and I never got my change. I ordered one dish and was given another of something I cannot eat, along with my friend who had an allergic reaction to peanuts after receiving the wrong dish. Another friend of mine asked to get a replacement dish due to an allergy and her request was denied. In addition, the food took about two hours to come out. I was with a large school group, but seeing that we called ahead and reserved most of the restaurant, it should not have been an issue. The performer we came to watch didn’t come out until 8:30, which was a couple hours later than expected since we got there before 6, and the plan was to leave early-ish at 9 due to important early morning events, but our departure was delayed by about an hour. On top of that, the performer was incredibly rude before going on stage, saying some lewd things to a woman directly in front of some of the younger students in our group. The table I was sat at was right up against the stage, the speaker was so loud I couldn’t hear out of one ear for a solid ten minutes. There was also no place to go to take a break from the loud music and flashing lights. A couple of people, including myself, were policed by security staff telling us we were only allowed in the bathroom or the main room. I appreciate the fact they need to keep the paths clear, but some of my peers have light sensitivity issues and health issues and it came off as very rude, not to mention a couple people ate things they can’t have and were getting sick in the bathroom. Overall, dumpster fire of an experience, not great for groups.
