The first time I came, it was right before the kitchen closed but the server was still able to squeeze my order in. Needless to say, the service here is top tier! I ordered the chicken madras with garlic naan and rice and a drink. Everything was delicious and done to perfection. The chicken was tender and all the spices in the curry were all well balanced. The rice is fragrant and the garlic naan had the perfect texture without an overbearing garlic aroma. I usually don’t repeat restaurants in one week but this restaurant made me break that rule and if you’re ever in Montreal, I highly recommend this place. The price here is also much more reasonable compared to the other restaurants around this area!

Hi! We were a party of 8 earlier this evening, the staff are incredibly kind and fun to talk with, professional and subtle when it came to bringing the birthday dessert. Dawson took care of our table, very light-hearted and attentive as was the rest of the crew bringing food and drinks. We greatly appreciated the warm vibes (soft yellow lighting, comfortable chairs, music not too loud but appropriate, the layout made sense and the space felt inviting), the food presentation was great and the flavours delicious and varied. Great portions, and for big groups, the group meal deal is definitely worth it. Thank you again for the great evening, and thank you to Dawson and the rest of the staff for a fantastic evening. He even took a whole bunch of photos of our group for us on our different cameras and phone and directed us for poses (very well might I add). I will most definitely come here again! I highly recommend eating here

Not only some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had, but genuinely one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. The waitstaff was busy, yet still warm, attentive, and absolutely delightful. The food was next level, and the whole place is dripping with the atmosphere and charm of Old Montréal. An incredible meal from start to finish. Make a reservation!

For a location in upscale Old Montreal, Le 409 is so impressive ( I usually go park extension, lasalle and even north of sources west island for Indian food, so for a place in a touristy trap street this place is AGAIN very impressive. Sauces and spices are of quality. Food/plates/presentstion unreal. Decor is more French bistro look but it’s still really nice. Prices are 100 percent reasonable. They can work on the music selection however. YIKES!!!

We had an absolutely fabulous meal. I'm so glad I didn't ask them to spice it up because it was plenty spicy already. Everything was delicious and I really enjoyed the salad 409..so light and delicious. Go, you won't regret it.

We had a wonderful experience at Le 409! The tikka was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor, with spices that were rich, aromatic, and beautifully balanced. The creative cocktails were also a highlight and paired really well with the food. The service made the evening even more enjoyable. Everyone working there was warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely lovely. Overall, it’s a great spot for delicious Indian food, unique drinks, and excellent hospitality. We would definitely return!

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and the quality was excellent. The atmosphere was awesome, and the service was great as well. Every dish was full of flavour. Even the dessert, especially the chocolate cake, was very tasty, and the bar area was also nice. After a long time, I had such a satisfying and delicious meal. I highly recommend this place if you love Indian food. The tandoori roti and tandoori naan were perfectly cooked, very thin, and not oily at all — just the right texture with amazing taste. A great place to enjoy authentic Indian flavours!

Cozy restaurant, delicious food and nice service. I really enjoyed it. We tried the agneau korma and chicken tandoori. The 1st was flawless, the 2nd would have been even better if it was more juicy with more tandoori gravy. The IPA (India Pale Ales)… was fantastic! I’d certainly recommend this curry house.

I recently visited Le 409 in downtown Montréal on a Friday night with a group of five people, and it was a fantastic experience! The food was incredible! My friends and I ordered the samosas and the Butter Chicken, both of which were amazing. What stood out even more was that all the portion sizes were generous, and the pricing was very reasonable for a restaurant in this part of the city. The service was excellent throughout the night. I also have to shout out their cocktails; they are expertly crafted. I ordered the "CATNIP”, and I would highly recommend it! All in all, the atmosphere and drink quality are top-tier. I would highly, highly recommend Le 409 to anyone. I will definitely be returning!

Took forever to bring the food, probably 45 mins to an hour. They were apologetic and brought each of us a little doughnut which was nice. I asked them to pack my food and they took my plate and never brought it back. I left 15% tip which i guess for North American standards is not good after a mediocre service at best. She expected more i guess and didn’t even say thanks and showed attitude as if she is not happy with the tip amount.

Nice indian-fusion restaurant. Good vibes in the restaurant, nice space with seating, not too crowded. Food was quite good, and priced well. Spent ~$35 each with appetizers as well.
