Was there last night May 21st 2026 for a retirement party , ordered the bavette I couldnt get through the whole steak , worst bavette ever eaten anywhere , couldn't finish it for how chewy and nervy the whole PC was , I was not the only one from the party complaining about it so not a one off , word of advice stay away from the Bavette , waiters and atmospheric environment very nice though , not saying the other food was awful here do go here by all means .

It was the third time to La Verita for a birthday celebration this evening and the food was excellent once again! I had lasagna and I must say that I have never had a lasagna dish that exceptional! The Lobster Ravioli is my go-to dish. A fav. The service is attentive, kind and so courteous. Our server was Nicolas - the best! 10/10 Make reservations ahead as it is a popular restaurant - and for very good reason!

Me and my girls went there on Tuesday May 4th to celebrate Mother’s Day. First time here and we will be returning. The good was delicious, from the Halibut to the pasta with braised beef, and focaccia, arancini. The editor was also excellent with his attentive service and wonderful suggestions. Thank you for making my Mother’s Day even more special. Left feeling happy either way the evening ! Thank you again

Food was great. The vibes were great too. But the service was the worst part. Everything was perfect until the end of the meal. We found some hair in the risotto when we had almost finished the plate. Before that, we were all very satisfied with the restaurant. On my last spoonful, we found two hairs. The server didn’t say anything about it unless I asked first. I wasn’t expecting any huge compensation because we had enjoyed the overall experience. I totally understand that the situation may have seemed strange since we mentioned it at the very end. (I probably should have kept the hair on the spoon to show the server.) However, our server’s attitude became very cold after we mentioned it while she was clearing the dishes. We even tipped her, stupidly.

Celebrated a 75th birthday dinner with 19 guests. Derek and his staff did a fantastic job. Food and service was 5 star. I would strongly recommend La Verita especially for special occasions.

It was my first time and they did not disappoint. The service was excellent, servers were very knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. They know their menu by heart! The food was absolutely delicious! From appetizers to main course and desserts, wow! I will definitely be back.

Other than what's on the menu, they have specials for the day. Everything was delicious. The waiters are knowledgeable and gave good suggestion on wine as well.

Jimmy was our server for the evening. Very quick to fill glasses and very friendly! The food was amazing, without a doubt the best lasagne I have ever eaten in my life! Next time I am in Montreal, I will 100% be back!

My wife and I went with a group of 10 people. Everyone was happy. We had the braised short rib (55$) and seafood risotto (40$). I had the rib and it was delicious. Served removed from the bone and on top, with a side of veg. My wife had the risotto and thought it was good, but lacking a little in flavor. Our server was Nicolas. Very charismatic, friendly, attentive and a pleasure.

We had an exceptional experience from start to finish. The service was truly impeccable — the staff was incredibly kind, professional, and very attentive. It quickly made us feel right at home, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. As for the food, everything was outstanding. The cooking of each dish was perfectly executed. For appetizers, we ordered the octopus, fried calamari, burrata, and beef carpaccio. The octopus was simply delicious, cooked to perfection. The calamari were also among the best we’ve ever had. For the main courses, we had the striped bass, lamb chops, clam pasta, and short ribs. Every dish was flavorful, beautifully prepared, and the portions were generous. This restaurant has been open for 17 years, and now I completely understand why. A truly wonderful discovery! A big thank you to Stéphanie and the entire team for such a warm welcome and a memorable evening.
