I’ve been going to La Sirène for over 20 years and it has never once disappointed. This restaurant is truly exceptional and has become a real Montreal institution. The food is always outstanding — incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and remarkably consistent. Their fish market is easily one of the best in Montreal, offering exceptional quality seafood every time. What also makes this place stand out is the service. Many members of the staff have been there for years, and they are incredibly attentive and well-trained. They genuinely remember their clients, their preferences, and their needs, which makes every visit feel personal and welcoming. The owner is also very present, friendly, and attentive, which contributes greatly to the warm atmosphere of the restaurant. Whether for lunch or dinner, La Sirène consistently offers exceptional food and service. Wow!!! Best meal I have had in for ever! Delicious food. So fresh. Excellent service!! I heard that this restaurant was excellent and so I travelled from the south shore to try out. It was so worth it. I found my new favourite spot! I highly highly recommend this place. Thanks La Sirène for an awesome experience!

The fish is incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. The grilled shrimp and whole sea bream were tender, juicy, and full of flavor. I made a reservation for February 14. They just called me today, February 13 to cancel my reservation due to "renovations". They must have been aware of those renovations way ahead of time so this only means they forgot to cancel my reservation before and realized just now. All restaurants in Montreal are booked up for valentines by now so THANKS FOR RUINING OUR PLANS. That's what I get for choosing their restaurant among so many other choices.

We were really disappointed with our experience. The food is just not the same anymore and lacks flavor. We ordered a wide variety of dishes — meat, fish, appetizers, and salads — hoping at least some would stand out, but unfortunately everything was quite bland and not tasty. On top of that, the service was also disappointing. This restaurant is not what it used to be. The quality of both the food and the service has clearly gone down. Sadly, we won’t be coming back.
